Here's the reply from our local dealer. Unfortunately, no re-flashing, just swapping of board(1-piece no daughter board) plus 2.5k.

    Q:
    1. Is the board available right now, or do i have to place an order
and wait for the board to arrive? How long shall the order take?
    2. Is this an on-spot swapping of board?
    3. Do you sell brand new V 4.05 units in your shop? - just in case i
wanted to buy a new unit for my other vehicle i want the latest
instead of what is advertised on scanguage.ph (v3.17)
    4. Did the extra cables arrived already. Last time i checked still no
    spare cables available.

    A:
1.ugrade service will be available in 2 to 4 weeks from now. we will be
    updating our website soon.
    2. yes, unlike in the US and Australia that you still need to send your
    SC2 unit.
    3. yes we do have the latest 4.05 firmware in stock.
    4. unfortunately we dont have extra cables yet.

^some old vehicles have OBD connector installed but is not used for OBD ... some are used only for programming built-in alarms (e.g. Starex 2002)

Hmm, are the features really useful and sulit b ung 7k? My nissan grand livina doesn't have a engine temp gauge, it will only light up once the engine is above its normal operating temp. Kaya im looking for something that will help me monitor my temp and other useful things for my car.

    TIA
