For the ABS, it might be the sensor to be faulty.

The airbag warning, it might be the computer box for the airbag system to be at fault. It might be located near the floor of the car.

I have an X-trail too but I managed to escape from flood almost reaching my hood at edsa balintawak.

Muka nasira or na grounded yung solenoid that prevents the shifter to move when brake is unpressed, its a safety feature. You can try press the mechanical lock button to shift it.

I think yung mga sensors mo na damage na, just have it check and/or replace it

Mga sir, pag hindi mo natanggal yung battery tapos umilaw yung park and break light mo habang nakababad, does it mean na tinamaan yung ECU ng Jazz ko? Mas worried ako sa electrical kesa sa engine kase I pulled out the dipstick ng engine oil wala namang tubig. Submerged yung oto ko halfway ng headlight for 5 hours and hindi inabot yung dashboard. Never kong inattempt na i-start yung engine. Any suggestions kung anong dapat unang i-check other than making sure that everything is dry?

Disconnect mo agad battery then let it dry and bring it to your favorite repair shop or casa

My Toyota vios 1.5G submerged in flood waters. I called up Toyota Marikina but the casa was submerged too. I called toyota QA, Cubao, & Otis but all casas are fully booked w vehicles having the same problem. However, a service advisor gave me a rough estimate of the casa charge w/c is as follows:
    washing PhP 4000.00
    detailing 4000.00
computer box (if damaged) 30000.00 (approx)
    oil/filters/flushing compound 2500.00 labor 5000.00
    misc. XXXXXXXXXXX
    TOTAL (APPROX) Php 45000.00 ++

I was refered by my car sales agent to a former collegue who manages a motorshop in Cubao (Neocars) & my vehicle is now ready for pick-up. My bill is PhP 11500.00. My Vios' computer box was not damaged. However, an Innova was not as fortunate, their bill is PhP20000.00 as their computer box was affected & repaired too. FYI

Totzulot and Shadow, thanks for the advice.

If there is any consolation, wala naman so far nagblink na any warnings sa panel. Waiting na lang kung kelan matapos sa casa. Since andami nakapila, wala ding assurance na date kung kelan matatapos pati interior detailing. Sana maging ok ulit si Xtrail.

    Thanks for the replies again.

    Tsikoteers,

Allow me to share with you my conversation with a service manager who happens to be close to me. Monday morning, they accepted 60 units and they dont know what to do with it. Told him to outsource detailing but all detailers from outside are fully booked. Told him to get OJT from Don Bosco Technical but ubos na rin. They have the parts but it wont be enough to service everyone. Their projection for fast moving parts and consumables can be managed but the problem would be ECUs and stereos. Even their head office do not have enough supply as we are talking here of hundred of units. They can not commit when you can get the unit and customers have started to bribe service advisors for faster repair to no avail. Also, I have been offered left and right flood damaged units but I can not possibly re sell this knowing that it has a problem. I can have a windfall of profit but there is such as thing as karma. I know Pamcor lost hundred of units in their Cainta plant and so goes for Wheels along E Rod. Dozens of units were severely affected. Also, there are those who just purchased their units through bank financing this 09 and they will just surrender the cars to the banks as is. A friend of mine who works for a bank is worried that they will be swamped with surrendered units as loans will be written off provided that you submit the units voluntarily.

This will all change the environment for car trading. One, you are not sure anymore of the unit that you will be getting. Usual biddings for repossessed units are now dangerous. I know PS Bank has a warehouse down East and it was affected. BDO units were also damaged in Balintawak.

Be very conscious when purchasing a vehicle and try your darn best to establish the history not only of the car but the owner.

    Sorry for the OT.

It's good advice... maybe you should post it as a separate thread for more people to see.

Im not sure when, I may have to check the service manual. Though its PMS is on a regular basis at kakatapos lang ng 45k kms PMS about a month ago. Anyway, nasa casa na ulit yung Xtrail and I just hope that not much damage para hindi masyado magastos.

could someone advise me on what to do with my pick up... L200 4d56

i already drained and changed the engine oil and dried everything
and started it... it idled but died several seconds because i forgot to drain the fuel tank, before it died, it sputtered white smoke... and now my problem is that the pick up starts but hesitates to run... i already drained the fuel tank, bled the fuel filter, bled the fuel injector... what could i possibly miss?

Usually, when you are in park position, to move the lever out of park, you have to step on the brakes, and you will hear a soft click. I think this relay or switch is the one malfunctioning since it is located in the shaft of your foot brakes. I think this is the same microswitch which activates your brake lights when you step on the brakes. Since this switch is near your brake pedal, then it was probably soaked and the contacts malfunctions. Try pressing the manual release usually located near you shift lever.
