Almost none. That's why t-belt replacement is part of maintenance. Whether the belt is good or not, you will have to replace it when the time comes.
Just did the t-belt replacement on the Vitara (called the '80K PMS). Had it done at home by the underground Suzuki mechanics.
Replaced the following:
-Timing belt
-T-belt tensioner
-T-belt cover (the old one had a crack, allowing contaminants to reach the belt)
-Cranskshaft seal
-Camshaft seal
Also took the time to replace the following:
-Valve cover gasket
-Distributor O-ring
-Sparkplug O-rings x 4
-PCV valve
-Spark plugs
-Water pump
-2 fanbelts
Parts cost almost 10k (all OEM except for the fanbelts and filters, the water pump was the killer * Php3,xxx++)
Labor was Php3k which included brake adjustments, timing adjustment, valve clearance adjustment, coolant flushing, change oil, and other minor items.
