Kaya nga sir if your intending to turn right on a street, dapat hindi lang sa left ka titingin, pati na din sa kanan mo...
Same goes sa U-turn slots which is more hard to traverse. Aside from those high-speed vehicles on your right, you have to "almost always" anticipate that there's a motorcycle na "sisingit" sa left mo.

I feel obliged to correct sir roberto_minosa. Your statement should be "it's very rare for 2-stroke scooter to have an upward-pointing endpipe"

A lot of 2-stroke motorcycles have this exhaust pipe design in their stock form: see http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com...age=Dt_bak.jpg

Anyway, why did you modify the pipe of your sweet little scooter sir?

Nope, they're still not mounted at a steep angle.

Not really. Only a few guys modify 2-stroke bikes with these pipes.

The scooter needed that pipe. It had a 90cc block and a big carb and manifold.

the one thing that irritates me about motorcycle drivers is that they would often try to overtake even if you are doing a left or right turn or going through a hump. at the very least, it is a distraction or at worse, a possible cause of accident. eh pwede naman pumila.

My lolo got hit by a scooter this morning. The rider was overtaking on the wrong side of the road when a jeep let my lolo cross the street. Of course, the rider won't see anyone crossing the road since he was overtaking on the shoulder. Thank goodness my lolo's okay.

I think this is enough to bust the myths and misconceptions.

One time at the Fort there was this motorcycle driving in the middle of a two-way street. Nasa gitna sya so syempre when I passed, nagkalapit kami ng mga 2 seconds.

ABa, nung huminto ako sa stoplight nakatingin sa akin at may sinasabi. I opened my window, ayun sabi nya " Bat mo ko pinipinahan?!"

At first I didn't understand what he was pertaining to, I said "Ano'ng pinipinahan?"

He said, "Pininahan mo ko dun!" and pointed at our back.

Exasperated, I told him "Hay naku... maghanap ka ng kausap mo!" and closed my window.

My dad always said, it takes all kinds...

^I just let them try.

This is why I like driving our company vehicles. Kung ma dent or magasgasan okay lang...insured eh. Hehehe.

(hindi sumisingit kungdi pumipila din, not tailgating, and nasa gilid magpatakbo)

I noticed that they zigzag to the front of traffic in a stoplight. When the light turns green, they block everyone else 'coz they're damn slow. One time when the road was clear and I was trippin', a biker was revving hard beside me at a stoplight. When it turned green, I popped the clutch at 3000rpm, shifted to 2nd at 6000rpm while spinning the tires, and every other guy bit the dust. So much for "trying to prove themselves" when they can't go faster than 110km/h. What a waste. They exchange safety for speed when they aren't even fast.

Alangan naman hintayin ka nila, not knowing when you're gonna get back in line? Kung makatitig akala mo kung sino.

Pero I'm proud to say that I've only encountered very few of these inconsiderate people habang nakapila sa parking.

Oh, and by the way, hindi ba bawal dumaan sa sidewalk ang motorcycles?

    I strongly agree sir sum1!!!

I used to have a 1995 yamaha dt... used it on trail rides and as a service from home to office to school kapag coding... after 3 years i replaced it with a 2003 xr200...

BUt now i seldom use my xr due to the rainy season...

Napansin ko nga din mas madaming agressive and irresponsible magdrive sa mga naka-underbone unlike those on dirt bikes/enduro...

Reminds me of a scene when I was traversing buendia, uso pa YZ set-up sa mga DT's nun then sa stop light bike riders piled up in front of the traffice. Yung naka-underbone dared me drag race daw kami... of course di ko pinatulan...

mukhang maganda topic to in determining the range of age ng mga underbone riders and if ever they attended some riding clinics...

We cannot discriminate against them in using the roads, so talagang road safety awareness lang nakikita ko feasible gawin... and strict implementation of existing traffic rules and regulations...

What I'm pointing out are those who angle their exhaust way up that if you stand or walk around two feet at the back you'll feel the exhaust slapping your face. Hay iwasan nalang o pagbigyan nalang natin sila.

    picture this:
two lane, car1 nsa inner lane, car2 nsa outer lane. nasa likod ako ni car2.

Which reminded me of this incident about a year ago: Sa Adelantado to nangyari.
