Anyway upon opening the mirrors I noticed there is a power supply to the mirrors like anti fog or demisters. I think this is for cold climates and I was hesistant to disconnect and thought of asking the tsikoteers first. Do you disconnect this wire? Another question is I noticed a small leak between the engine and the auto transmission. My guess is it's ATF leaking judging from the color not being black. Is this an oil seal problem? Is this easily fixed. Thanks guys!

Thanks Blue Gambit! One more question, yung side mirrors mo paano mo napa convert kasi yung JDM paj ko kahit anong adjust kulang pa rin? What is the best thing to do to remedy this problem? Buying left hand mirrors is too expensive. Thanks in adavance.

Yun pa rin ang gamit ko na side mirror, manual adjust nga lang yung assembly since di na gumagana yung power fold. tpos any minor adjust yung sa power mirror adjust na lang. medyo odd nga lang yun reflection ng mirrors, hirap i guage yung layo at lapit. You just have to adjust to it. How much canvass mo ng local side mirrors?

I have not canvassed yet but I read somewhere in this forum the price but the price escapes me at the moment. I think there is a way to convert this. It is just a matter of bending the metal holder to the right angle. I just couldn't do it yet for the fear of breaking the metal. I think it is cast iron and would not bend without breaking. I'll experiment and post the results. My mirrors still fold but I don't use this feature much often.

Yung EGR mo ba nakakabit pa? naka blanking plate or naka ball bearing yung vacuum hose niya? Thanks.

I remember now what my brother did, he removed one of the gears for the power fold. that's why I can move it easily in any angle. I was thinking of having glass replaced, from aguila glass mfg. just dont know if it will work, since its attached to the mirror adjustment motors.

I think naka kabit pa yung EGR, all stock pa kc paj ko. ano yung blanking plate or ball bearing sa vacuum hose? san ito nakakabit sir tatoski? and whats it for?

Sorry for the late reply. Blanking plate will blank or cover the exhaust manifold and/or your intake manifold. I think this is normally installed sa exhaust manifold to plug the connection between exhaust and intake manifolds via the EGR or exhaust gas recirculation. EGRs are required in Japan due to very strict emission regulations. The EGR bleeds a little exhaust gas to the intake manifold to keep NOX, SOX down. Here in RP we can do without it due to relaxed emission values. The EGR is opened by applying vacuum to the diaphragm of the EGR actuator via a vacuum hose. My drive has a ball bearing plugging this vacuum hose so in effect disabling the EGR.

Having become tired of driving with left and right side mirrors not properly adjusted I did a little DIYing and got the mirrors to be properly adjusted! It took about an hour for the first mirror and 1/2 hour for the other. I disassembled the mirrors and sorted out what keeps them from rotating from its mount. I found out that between the mirror assembly and the mount (stationary part) there is this small steel disk with holes where small ball bearings catch to. A strong spring keeps the balls wedged or indexed onto the steel disk. What I simply did was to put new holes or drill new holes at the proper position to convert these right hand mirrors to left hand ones. Now my ride is very easy to drive giving me the confidence to weave in and out of traffic. Conversion is very easy to do. This is one of the best mods I did for my Paj!

Paps lufet ng explanation mo, does plugging the egr hose improve fuel consumption? I'm only doing 6km/l city driving at an ave. speed of 20-30 kph.

Sa conversion ng mirrors: saan yung yung na drill mo na new holes sa assembly mount nung mirror or sa door mount mismo? hindi kasi permanent solution yung sa akin eh. I'll try to what you did over the weekend, I just need some clarification. thnks

Sorry for the delayed reply. The steel disk that you need to redrill is actually a loose part. It is fixed to the mirror assembly by notches and it indexes or positions the mirror via engaging the balls (bearings) that are fixed to the mirror mount (mounted to the door, stationary). Dismantle the mirror, be careful of the strong spring and drill new holes to set the new angles of your mirrors.

Sir I'd like to thank sir kaks of autoeuropaph.com for knowledge he shared in that experiment.

Madali lang sir, as from the before image I encircled (blue) the base cone. just push it down. Though I used a flat head screw driver create leverage initially. When its down, you will see two + screws fore and aft the shifter base. Unscrew it, and re-place the cone cover and twist it slowly clock wise towards the drivers side. Align the holes of the fore and aft screw. And secure again with the screw and replace the cone cover. Its done, took only 15mins to finish. Best upgrade I did by myself!

With regards po sa fuel injection calibration, gagalawin lang nila ng konti yan sabay sasabihin nagpalit sila ng kung anu ano sa loob. It's best to go to respected shops tulad po ng sabi ni bossing gambit, I know this because our instructor at MFI in Ortigas told us. For cheaper alternatives, go for surplus parts, kaso i-check muna po kung ok, kasi it would cost you trouble if you don't check.

    Dear Sirs,

I have a Subic Pajero and I enjoy it a lot. I have not problems with it. I just would like to ask your recommendations as to where I can buy a third row seat and a roof rack for my 2.8 pajero.

Thanks and sorry for cross posting if at all. I am a first time user of this forum.

I just read somewhere, pero di ko na makita that OD simply shifts the gears lower for overtaking situations (or baliktad)? Anyway, I was told like OD is like enabling quarta. Sa akin, that seems to be the case kasi.

I got a 1991 subic pala. I think this is the first of the Gen 2 series and equivalent to a local 1995/96 model. My main problem is yung hatak. Every mechanic seems to have his own opinion, with some suggesting that I have the tranny overhauled. Weak pressure disk, may kulang daw na isang cable, etc. but none were able to fix the problem so I think maybe the trany needs replacement or overhaul which I almost did. Pero once, I took it to banawe in that car shop across Chinatown Restaurant and the mechanic just took an open wrench and made some adjustments. I was inside the car and we're on the road. He seems to be adjusting the acceleration cable or the idle pero not really sure kasi di ko kabisado ang makina. Pero after 4 adjustments gumaan ang pajero ko and I was happy with it. So I decided to mix other minor problems one of which is the acceleration cable na may konting "tama".

I went to el dorado and the mechanics removed the acceleration cable and opened my tranny. However, the cable of a subic turns out to be different from a local pajero of the same make. So, binalik nila ang cable but things went back to how it was - mahina ang hatak. BTW, the mechnics told me na OK pa tranny ko. However, 2-3 tries and they were not able to solve the hatak problem.

I went back to banawe but the mechanic that fixed my problem was no longer there. Other mechanics were unable to fix it. I told them about the adjustment to either the cable or yung idel pero wala naman daw kinalaman ito. Anyway, does anybody have some idea what is wrong and where I can have it fixed? Many thanks

Yung OD is for your tranny to access the overdrive gear which is the 4th. pag OD-off 1-2-3 lang ang useable gear. If gen 2 body yung paj mo dapat yata super select 4wd na rin yan...

Re gears, yes that is how I understand it pero may nabasa ako dito na parang iba ang sabi but I cannot locate the thread.post.

Gen 2 body. Ano ang super select? How do I know and what does it mean? BTW, mayari ng isang talyer ang nagsabi sa akin kailangan iatras muna bago abante. Ayaw ko itry baka iba ang mangyari at di ko mabalik like mag 4w siya lagi, etc.
