    greetings BOSBs!

I have been reading some of the posts here in your thread and I would say that it is one great thread to read. I love all the exchanges and I would say that the Strada is one great pickup truck.

I am not an owner of a Strada as of yet since I am still deciding on which automobile to buy. I am currently torn between a 1.8S Civic and a Strada GLX although I am 60% leaning more on one of them. Based on my username, I think you would've guessed which of the two by now.

I testdrove the 2.5 GLS at Citimors makati and the ride was great. It was quite fun and comfortable to drive.

Anyway, could I use this thread to post some questions? I would like to have good insights from you guys.

TIA and more power to the Strada Club!

Sir nakamitsu, welcome to tsikot.com and the new mitsubishi strada thread.

I noted that you are familiar with the Strada Club and some terminologies, as well. You may have been a lurker for quite sometime.

As I can see, you are torn between 2 lovers, hehehe. Both your choices are great rides. But you really have to decide whether you want a car or an urban truck. At any rate, if you eventually choose the civic, then you have to change your handle to nakahonda, hahaha.

On your query to post here, by all means, please do. That will be very welcome. However, I suggest that you backread the pages. Also visit the other strada threads. These threads already contain tons of info regarding the new strada. Nevertheless, there may be other questions and concerns that you may have that we have not tackled yet. Just post it here and we all can learn from each other.

Welcome to the thread sir nakamitsu!

I was in the same predicament last December but after test driving the Strada, i fell inlove with the vehicle and was immediately infected by the Stradaphilia bug.

Although the civic is a great car, i felt that purchasing the Strada is the better choice. The prohibitive cost of fuel is the main factor since the Strada is run by diesel and the GLX model usually have a fuel consumption of 10-12 km/li in city driving. Another factor for me is the height and stance of the Strada compared to a sedan... no more worries of being stuck with floods during the rainy season! Furthermore, the luggage space is doubled since you have the whole bed at the back for hauling things (i am newly married and this is in anticipation of having children in the future, for the stroller, the baby bag and other stuff, hehe). Finally, since the strada is a pick-up by design but you'll gonna use it like a sedan for city driving... it would take you many years to wear out the suspension parts compared to the sedan.

If you have questions regarding the Strada, just post it here or to the Strada Club threads... drive inspired!

Regarding usage, my strada is my main transport in going to work with no passenger in it. With the light usage, I am expecting to encounter that squeaking sound to come out spontaneously after a year from date of purchase. Hopefully, di na lalabas, hehehe.

Let's hear out from the other strada owners.

I've driven another new strada that is less than a month, meron din squeeking sound. so your not alone. ask the dealer to fix it or better yet, write mmpc about all your mishap on your white GLX.

My guess is that the sound is coming from mis alignment (friction) on the leaf springs.

thanks mga BOSBs sa reply. i brought my strada back to Diamond Motors QA kahapon. Mr. Boyet Talagtag and one from MMPC planta na si Mr. Joy Incognito, ang nag-assist sakin.pinalitan ulit nila yung leafspring, but this time yung left side na lng may squeek, ibalik ko na lng daw ulit sa kanila mamaya dahil nagkaron pa ng kalampag yung ilalim ko. Fix na lang ulit nila...hanggang kailan kaya ako babalik?

may isang interesting word lang from Mr. Incognito ang natawa ako. Pinacheck ko na rin kasi yung turbo ko kung nag-eengage sha, and after that pansin ko talaga na lumakas humatak at na-feel ko ulit yung turbo nya na nagbu-boost. pero yung sinabi nya dun sa service advisor (Gilbert Garcia) na "may turbo timer pala bakit di mo sinabi agad". That really puzzles me. what does he mean by that.

mike18, it's good to hear na nagagawan na ng paraan and remedyo yung squeeking sounds sa suspension mo, as for the comment on the turbo timer... i assume the timer is aftermarket? kasi they can say na navoid na ang engine warranty mo kasi the timer is connected to the turbo and the engine computer ata...am not really sure, but maybe some of the bosbs can help us with this. if they say na engine warranty ang void na, baka pwede mo pakiusapan na yung sa electrical na lang, kasi mas madami naman ginagalaw sa electrical system yata pag nagkakabit ng turbo timer eh. again some more info from the other bosbs, wish i could have been of more help, pero yung turbo timer ko kasi is really part of my alarm system na eh,

    Welcome po sa thread sir!

Ganyan din ako last January. Between Navarra and Strada. I consider the price at porma, stick ako sa strada.

And according to him nga pala lahat ng Strada walang turbo timer installed even the GLS Sport. Alam ko nga e kasama na un sa alarm system ng mga GLS models. di ba?

it just shows how incompetent some people are. they dont know what they are talking about. GLS when they came out...the alarm feature had a turbo timer. aftermarket turbo timer installed in our rides is to help the turbo cool down before the engine shuts off. its all electrical and has nothing to do with the turbo of the system. they should know that. iba naman tlga ang turbo timer installed mismo sa turbos ng cars.

hehe sabi ko nga sir sa kanya bka pag pinost ko to sa forum pagtawanan lang sha e. pero aminado naman sha na for safety reason nga ang turbo timer and he's not against about it personally kaya lang their warranty dictates na bka ma-void pati engine warranty, that I really object.

asus! mga tao nga naman makalusot lang...

the aftermarket turbo timer is installed sa electricals to delay the engine shutoff kung ilang minutes ang gusto mo to cool down the engine. wala ginagalaw sa engine natin so how on earth could they void the warranty sa engine? if they void the electricals, that I can accept kasi may 'slicing' sa wires na ginawa when the turbo timer was installed... pero kung i-void ang warranty sa engine... you have the strength ng legal team ng strada club to back you up! ayos ba sir moxxxs?
