Sir DonT, find attached is the back cover of the the package of the carry tire lock showing the instruction to install the lock. Also attached are images of the bolt lock installed in my strada.
Note that aside from the bolt lock, sa sobrang pagkapraning, a wire lock (pang bisikleta) also secures the spare tire, for additional peace of mind, hehehe. Although alam naman natin for a persistent thief, kaya pa rin inenok itong tire ko. Pero mahirapan muna sya.

*thepatriarch- this is what i had in mind!
keep one stock rim for your spare (para sosy ang spare mo
), then offer the 3 to the other GLX users para sosy ang spare rim nila... problem is on how to dispose the steel rim then... hehehehe!
*apollo_kafka- im sorry to hear about your issue. I know how you feel because some 4 years ago, the UNUSED Spare Tire of my Space Wagon was stolen in front of my aunt's house in Cubao, QC in broad daylight- pumasok lang ako sa bahay for 15 mins. just to get my bag to go back to Baguio- and before i knew it nakababa yung spare tire tray and the tire was gone! haiz!We have a traditional dog-chain and padlock (i spray WD-40 on the padlock just to be sure na removable sya despite its exposure to the elements) since it is the least i can do. But i'm starting to think otherwise about what Doc Ooba99 mentioned about his friend's Fortuner! yung kay RedHorse, he has a cable merged with a padlock- it looked like its something you can secure a mountain bike with! But despite this issue, i hope you are ok. Be Safe Bro!

BOSBs, kapag may nahuli kayo na attempting to take your spare tire, or any of your property for that matter, and sa tingin nyo kaya nyo naman... you can employ 'reasonable' force/violence sa perp. then you can make a citizen's arrest and bring the thief sa nearest police station. legal tip lang po...

Thanks for the legal tip, atty. but no thanks.
Those thieves do not operate singly and unarmed. Dalawa minimum sa operation na yan. Minsan me look-out pa. They usually bring with them either a bladed weapon or a gun.
