I did ask the dealer, but it seems they want to keep mum about any further details. Basta sabi niya these things daw do crop up with newly introduced model, w/c really surprises me kasi the Strada (Triton) has been introduced much earlier in other international markets, thus they should have been able to encounter and/or diagnose this steering issue before.

Oo nga sir... Pero normal lang talaga yan kahit nga Fortuner may sound din lumalabas sa suspension before etc. etc.

Pero havent heard any problems sa steering column sound in other countries. For sure, wala na to sa coming batch of Strada's. So far, maganda naman asikaso ng dealer at mechanic sa iyo?

guys, up ko lang e2.. frends of mine who bought the 2007 strada has experienced probns na.. yun ibang fren ko 2x na pinalitan ng injection pump... yun 1 naman biglang tumirik ang aircon..... tapos yun 1 tumirik while enroute bumabyahe bigla lang daw nawalan ng power....

mga bro's! question lang.. sa normal driving yung strada niyo ba always exactly half yung temperature? as in exactly half.. doesn't go up or down.. medyo nabobother lang ako kasi may mga nagsasabi na parang ang taas daw.. but i've never encountered any problems whatsoever. just curious. feedbacks lang form owners kung meron.. thanks!

Ok lang po yan sir. Same din sa strada and pajero ko. nasa half ang temperature gauge. 8 mos na strada ko no problem so far and hoping na wala naman magiging problem.

Guys,

Normal ang temparature gauge reading at exactly half - no matter how easy or hard you drive.

This is based on my 7 months experience with my GLS AT. Also average fuel consumption without resetting the trip computer for more than one month is 9.2 kms/liter ( mostly city driving plus two or three roundtrips to Tagaytay.

Only problem was steering - assembly replaced around 3 months ago - which now is fine.

No regrets on decision to get the Strada.

Ilan naba may nagka problem sa steering wheel assembly? What is exactly the problem? Saan daw kaya sila nagkamali bakit nagkaroon ng ganitong problema?

Well, hindi nila talaga ako nasagot ng klaro. After waiting for 2 weeks for the replacement part, wala pa din akong nakuhang explanation. I even mentioned to the service mgr. the possibility of the mis-installment of the snap bearings (happened with the outback) as recommended by Drey in the sticky thread regarding the Strada, pero hindi sila kumibo.

The most that they told me was that under orders sila sa Japan to replace in full all problems regarding the steering. Anyway under warranty naman kaya hindi na ako kumontra. What really surprised me was that it happened relatively early with my truck, nasa 4,038Km palang ako when the irritating click and grinding sound started at my steering column. Hindi naman ako ng offroad and basically city driving palang.

At least, maayos naman at maasikaso sila sa Diamond mtrs. So far so good tahimik na ang Strada ko at maayos ang takbo

The same thing I told myself. I have three years or 100,00kms w/c ever comes first. Kelangan sulitin sa gamit.

Also had my steering assembly replaced at Diamond Sabi ng service adviser na "may play ang spline" sa steering column. Ok ang service nila . . . so far . .
