i noticed this sa site ng new strada:

    Rear Leaf-Spring Suspension
    (above the axle type)

ano ba yung leaf suspensions ng other pickups? below the axle?

May pick ups na hindi spring over axle.

GLS is top of the line grade for Mitsu utility vehicles. Kaso wala pang official specs ang Mitsu for the local model as of this time.

The M-ASTC (traction control) and ABS might be for the high end variant.

If you need knowledgeable, pls PM carlocaraddict, niky, and mbt ASAP. hehehe. But if you ask me, I've crossed out the Hilux from my list (no offense to Hilux owners po). The ride is punishing even for a pick up, the interior color is easily soiled (and plasticky), small rear window makes parking a b*tch, and the price they are selling 4WD models for is insane.

The DMax seems like a good alternative. There are models with ABS and there is shoulder belt for the center rear passenger. Engine seems to be more reliable than the Trooper's finicky unit. My only quibble is it does not have a high-rider chassis like the Hilux, Frontier, and Triton.

As for the Triton, I've yet to test one. But if they bring one with traction control and ABS for the price posted above, then it's a spectacular deal. I'll probably just add some form of side door protection (e.g. Carryboy cladding or OEM Euro doorstrips) and a rear bumper (if they do not come with one).

Ok ang presyo. 4x4 variant below 1.2M? Mukhang price palang attractive na. hehe. I've yet to test one.

SOA has higher ground clearance (you won't be dragging the leaf pack under the diff in difficult terrain). It's also easier to lift (provided you have found a way to lift the independent front suspension).

SUN in Thailand sells lift kits for pick ups. They have a Strada kit. Not sure if they have a kit out of the latest model.

    QUESTION:

Will this engine fit into Gen 1 Paj's engine bay 4D56 rin naman diba?

Super Select lang ang pwede sa paved roads. SS I GEN II and GEN II.5. SSII is exclusive to GEN III.

however, in the UK market... the triton is already SS-II...

GLX yung bare na Strada. The one with steel rims and no flares.

There is no trim code for the top of the line Strada as it used to be the only trim level available prior to the availability of the GLX. Now it's called the GLS.
