*JPG111- there is also something else i want to point out: the air directional control (left large knob) is missing 2 controls- an arrow to the footwell and windshield and to the windshield itself! also, the HEATER function is no longer there (the red stripe)- (which is what we need for us in Baguio ) i don't see the A/C button also!!!

i saw this type of A/C panel in some low-end trition models in thailand.

from what it looks, if you turn the thermostat knob all the way counterclockwise, it will switch OFF the A/C and turn it clockwise, the air gets cooler with the A/C ON. I hope the 2nd A/C unit is still present at the 3rd row...

i was expecting the A/C panel to look like this sana:

im sure all of you are wondering about the LCD screen. you can ask sir av8or5- i used his picture from the Strada Club thread. hehehe thanks.

My own assumptions lang which has no confirmed facts... The steering wheel control, if the wired types, most probably came from winterpine or its mother company wintersnow(?). I know that wintersnow distributed our JVC headunits, so if my guess is correct, their paired it with the avt steering remote module. And they were able to find the correct code for it to work, but my concern is, what did they do to the HUs?

For some reason, the HUs we get here in the Phils, well at least the JVC HUs we get here, do not have an control out, so no where to plug the module. I know this because of course our stock HUs we can see for ourselves, and then my DVD HU doesn't have it also, but if you buy it in the states, it does have it.. weird right?

Anyways, i know this because, like a lot of you know, i took out the stock HU and placed a DVD HU instead. Then, i bought wifey a new car, a rav4 to be exact, and she wanted sounds, or at least a unit that can play her ipod or USB flash. So instead of spending for a new HU, i put in the JVC HU from the MS. Its pretty good anyways.. but the steering wheel had a remote, so here comes the problem. How do you get it to work with the new HU? There are a few ways, but i insisted on wired connections because i would hate the lag on the IR types. So off i did the research, wintersnow had to take my HU for servicing, and add the proper adaptors to plug in the remote module. So they explained to me that they had to somehow tweak the IR slot in the back and convert it into a remote out port. Which they did and now its connected to the steering wheel... Great right? Wrong, then we find out the module had to be set to car's specific code, and all we had is the code of the older rav4. And now, i'm waiting for them to figure it out, while the module is already installed and paid for not knowing if it will ever work.

Anyways, the point is, if this is the way they did the new MS, then the warranty of the HU will only be thru them and not JVC... I am happy that they added the steering wheel remote though, but for those like me or are planning to get a new HU.. The steering wheel remote might be useless to you. Or make sure and ask what HUs are compatible with whatever module they installed so the remote will work.

I will not believe that the MS steering wheel remote are like other cars that have them because our HUs are installed by a 3rd party. Unlike other cars, the remote and the HU is from the car manufacturer, such as the honda accord or the new volvos, the HU is not installed by a 3rd party, it really carries the brand of the car manufacturer, so it came out the assembly line already installed.

But like i said, these are all assumptions and nothing confirmed. Educated guesses if you will. But then again, if its true, it might help someone decide to buy a new HU or not.
Yung sa MS 4x2, IR remote yung nasa steering ata. Di ko pa nahahanap kugn san yung IR nya sa steering pero tama ka, may lag ng konti. If you see sa pic ni JGP111, may slot for the battery sa ilalim ng mode button.

ianmitsulancer, i'm just wondering why in the brochure of MS 2.5 4X2 the AC controls appears to be the same as the 3.2 GLS

*SoyProspero- that is what i thought of at first...I was expecting that it would have the same A/C panel as found in the brochure until i saw the pictures of JPG111... BUT as always, there is an iddy-biddy disclaimer everytime MMPC produces a brochure that we must understand and i quote:

"- Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation reserves the right to alter any specifications without prior notice."
"-Photo shown on this flyer may slightly differ from the actual unit."

*bro Dadz, i wasn't refering to your truck specifically. I was refering to the MegaCab/Single Triton thai-spec models... that was what i meant by low-end po. I saw this with the thai-spec brochures you sent me (thru G01) po. I recalled that you told me that you have the top of the line Triton when you purchased it in 2005 and when i saw the website with the Thai-Spec brochure you gave me, since then i knew that you have the fully automatic A/C controls just like in the Strada GLS/GLS Sport and Montero Sport GLS SE no doubt about it...

i already asked diamond fairview, it will cost me 2.5-3k. The whole lower portion of the door will be repainted... i just want to try getting other suggestions/recommendations.. thanks!
gabrcri, are you from QC? If you are, i'll check if the motor shop which did a paint job on my car a couple of years ago is still there. I hope it is still there as the people there are so damn good in doing body repairs. I'll let you know ASAP. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

reminds mo of my SA when i asked if MS rear spoiler was already available. meron daw 22K pero makukuha daw namin ng 16K sabi ko na lang sige isipin ko muna. sa winterpine sabi ni angela nasa 6K up kaya lang wala pa sa ngayon.

yep, every time may makasalubong ako MS GUSTO KO KUMAWAY kaya lang naka medium front tint ako at mostly naka tint rin sila sa harap. kaya i just tap my horn lightly to say hi/hello/nice MS you're/we're riding

    no. of kms.
liters of diesel loaded = kms/li.

    i think the 2.5 GLS would go between 8 and 9 kms/li.

Mine is NCI..heard from an Isuzu guy whose plate is NAI that LTO just recently decided to allow the use of plates that bear the letters I and O; previously these were banned coz the I and O area easily confused "daw" with the numbers 1 and 0, and is not good from the "law enforcers" point of view, in identifying or writing down plate numbers...personally, this was a funny rule....how can one confuse the I and the O for 1 and 0, when we all know that the first 3 characters of any plate are all letters anyway...

The N series was given/assigned daw to the Las Pinas LTO....fyi.

Yup me too... Even saw JPG111's MS 2x na near Mary the Queen (I'm the one with the red MS GLS).... Good afternoon MAYOR! Dami nang MS ngayon and lagi ako napapalingon and wondering baka member din dito.... hehehe. If ever merong EB after the March 28, I'll try to join. Out of town kasi ako on that date.... and medyo mahiyain tayo eh...

    NOW QUESTION:

I have a problem.... For my AC Unit, when the knob/setting is turned to "airflow to the face" (this is the one where airflow is directed to the passenger), it seems there is still a bit of air going to the feet... There seems to be some air leakage or the vent is not properly aligned... I already tried switching to face/foot, to windshield only, etc and back to face only pero meron pa rin... This contributes to low air outflow tuloy from the vents....

    Anyone have this same problem?

Mukhang baklasan time na sa CASA.....

sir baka di lang masyado naikabit yung cable kaya medyo gumigitna, i saw it's function when i had an amplifier wired to the HU. sinigurado ko na gagana lahat ng knobs and switches after. pero time to bring it up to the casa para alam nila.

add ko lang sir. 2.5 4D56 uses timing belt while the 3.2 4M41 is chain driven.
