Thanks for the tips on the turbo cooling Frontier922. Ako rin naman I practice turbo cooling ever since I read the advice of fellow monty owners like KCBoy.
I don't have a turbo timer but I do idle for a minimum of 30 seconds before shutting off the engine.
Yun lang nga, like it was mentioned, it takes discipline lalo na pag mukha kang engot sa mga kasama mo or di kaya when you gas up and you have to wait for a minute or two before you can start filling up the gas tank kasi you're still waiting for the turbo to cool down.

Regarding the aircon, my experience is that the cooling is sufficient up to the 2nd row even without turning on the 3rd row aircon. I've no need to turn on the 3rd row because I've never used the 3rd row to carry passengers, only cargo. Let's see during the summer months next year, as that will really put the aircon to the test.

Bakit kaya ang tagal nung 4x2 dalhin dito sa atin. I hope they'd put a VGT though (upgradeable kaya yung turbo nito?
). Sayang kasi ang lakas ng makina 3.2 could produce north of 250hp, 2.5 around 200hp.

Paniero,
Sa GLS SE kasi it comes with climate control. So when you set it simply to AUTO it will adjust to the necessary temperature that you set it with. As it reads in the manual there are 2 thermal sensors (1 front 1 back) that will tell the A/C that it needs more cooling.
Over all, the A/C is very cold. I rarely open the rear A/C, and if I do its because my car was left in the parking lot of greenhills na hindi covered tanghaling tapat. And i guess you know how shitty hot that gets....
But once climate control sets in ang bilis lumamig ng cabin.
My wife always thinks that the third row is always on. i have to show her the switch that its off.
Congrats on your new monty!

Sa mga new owners, how long did you wait to get your unit. Kelan kau nagpareserve at san kau kumuha?

Dude,
I reserved mine first week October at Citimotors Alabang and to make things "faster" I did In-house financing. They gave me the run around for 2 months. Kesho..."next week meron dadating...SURE NA!.." alas, olats.
So 2 months waiting prompted me to search around ALL dealers. In doing so I finally found one freshly delivered by PAMCOR to a Dealership in Dasmarinas Cavite. But they wouldn't give it to me if i wasn't using In house financing...luckily (or unluckily) mine was applied through In house. It took me 2 hours to get my car in the same day.
In house offers a higher monthly but its alright with me as I was able to get the ride that i wanted.
Once I told my agent that i already had mine and i was pulling out of Alabang...he finally came clean...
So a word of advice....do the leg work...don't leave it up to your sales agents....they will always be railroaded by "a higher power" specially now that the monty is slowly becoming a rare commodity.
Hope this loooong answer...answers your question...
Adios!

Would there be any issues / problems if I purchased from a provincial dealer and have it maintained here by Diamond Motors?
