Its good AVT has come into the market for GPS navigation in the Philippines, but i feel their units are overpriced. Garmin is among the top three in GPS auto navigation and there is a growing community in the Philippines who are happy using it. I have a nuvi 255W bought in the U.S for just PHP8200 and loaded with the free Philippine roadguide standard map (http://roadguide.ph/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25). I have also loaded the malaysia-singapore map (http://www.malsingmaps.com/portal/downloads.php) which i am planning to use on my my next visit to singapore. Hopefully competition will bring down AVT's prices to affordable level..

There is no auto lock indeed pero I just noticed the other day that there is a warning sound if you drive the monty with one of the doors still ajar. Also the door ajar warning sign on the instrument panel will blink in that case.

    FYI.

Surprisingly, ganun lang kabilis. While going to the dealership, I was already prepared for a long wait. I'm not really sure about the details, it was my mom who did the paperwork since the Montero will be a family car. We have our own separate cars already and honestly, nalalakihan ako sa Montero. I believe it was financing and we traded in our Toyota Revo to the same dealership. Actually, the car was already available the next day but the down was paid in check, I think, so may one day clearing pa. Not really sure who entertained us though, I was busy looking at the Pajero, Outlander and the Lancer.

Plug ko lang... hehe... Any ideas where we can get a good seat cover for the Montero?

nuvi sell 489 almost 500 usd in qatar with no maps of the phil...

yes its a little bit pricey pero comparing sa high end garmin gps halos ganun din ... the problem in garmin wala sya preload map of the phil.(south east asia ala phil) unlike avt meron na ....garmin sana bibilhin ko pero wala sila mahanap na map(accurate enough) at highly suggested din eto ng tropa ko at totoo na test ko garmin ndi nya recognize mga one way pinapapasok ka unlike sa avt lahat ng one way alam nya .... i rate avt 10 for its accurate map and accurate route calculation ....

Huhuhu... buti pa kayo sir... Thanks for the reply.... Re sa seatcover I would suggest Equipt sa Banawe. nasa 10thou yung!! or Seatmate sa Manda... 8,500 sa kanila... I personally prefer Equipt. 5 years waranty nila sa leather.... I would go there pag na release na Monty ko. Kainip!!!

Guys, actually may auto lock ang monty (or at least mine has). your door has to be closed when you start the car. If any door is open when you start the monty it won't work. Once you put the car on drive it locks by itself.

I think it will go up. because of big demand and cost of importation(malaki hinihingi ng PASGI & Customs ngayon).
