Sakto Sir! That's exactly what I was getting on my tweeters. The description I gave to the installer was that it was like someone was "crumpling celophane/plastic". We tried everything, and I mean everything, short of re-wiring the entire system:

Change crossovers to brand new ones
Change amps to brand new ones (same model as before - XD40)
Change speakers to brand new ones (same model as before - XSC62)
Change head unit to brand new ones (different brand - Pioneer)
Change speakers to brand new ones (different model - MS6A)
Change amps to brand new ones (different model - DLS CA41)

None of the first five solutions made any improvements. The crackling sound was still there. The last solution did it for me.

Try getting your amp changed, and I mean changed to a different MODEL, not just a brand new XD40. When I changed to a CA41 - kaboom - sound was gone.

Ended up buying the CA41, and just paid for the difference. Oh and I upgraded my seps na rin to MS6As. Couldn't resist. Kinabit na kasi nila as part of finding a solution eh, so sabi ko wag na tanggalin. Andun na rin eh. Hehehe.

Out of curiosity, where did you get your XD40?

got mine from mickey's sir... also had them install my whole setup.

sana naman they could have my amp replaced too... i like the CA-41 better than the X-D40. it has a wider crossover coverage (good for my active setup :D).

i'll show them your concern and what your installer did that it's really the amp and not something else. thanks a lot for this sir kap!

Hi sir, sorry about what happened.

The immobilizer issue was settled a few weeks back and the best way is for you to get another set from the casa Or sana, your driver can still remember where he last saw it. Goodluck sir!

Oo nga dapat makakuha sa hotel nang sign na "don't disturb me". Regarding sa mga nabasa ko dito tungkol sa wiper issue na screeching sound sa akin naman walang problema. Pagkalabas na pagkalabas nang unit ko sa casa diretso kaagad nang Tagaytay. Pagdating pa lang sa Robinson bininyagan na kaagad nang ulan. Tinest ko ngayon yung wiper ok naman. NWB yung OEM wiper na nakakabit sa akin. Yung rust problem sa engine joints andoon pa rin problem may slight rust build-up. Inunahan ko na nang WD-40. Pangit kasing tingnan kapag dumami. Regarding the ride supercool and comfort. Once the engine is running while inside the vehicle is like riding on petrol engine. No vibration and noise from the engine can be felt. Gusto ko sanang ihataw kaso nilimit ko lang sa 80kph for engine and other mechanical protection (virgin pa kasi). Nakuha ko nga pala unit 9km odometer reading nya. No waiting time sa unit and I got the color I want. If someone is having a hard time on getting their unit try nyo dito sa Mitsubishi Dasmarinas but don't expect so much freebies. Weekly may unit na dumarating sa kanila. Pagkakaalam ko kay NTYCE dito rin kinuha. Mga bros. sa tingin nyo ba kailangan pa iundercoat ulit dahil yung factory undercoating parang kulang. Walang final assembly undercoating. May nagtry na ba sa inyo magpaundercoat sa casa? Ok ba naman ang quality?P4500 ang hinihiningi nang casa sa undercoating. Sa Ziebart sobrang mahal naman.

Yes sir, Winterpine yung sa akin. Madali naman yata kausap si Mickey eh. As long as they acknowledge na may crackling sound naman, gagawan nila ng paraan to fix it.

If you suggest that that's what another XD40 user did, I don't think they'll have problems trying the same solution.

sir revD, unfortunately the steering remote does not work on the new head unit. i called up the jvc service in the philippines and they told me that all successful pairings of the steering remote with other head units are not guaranteed? they actually dont advice the modification.

anyway they told me that theyre working on a universal module to be able to pair up the steering wheel remote with other jvc units (primary reason why the dvd player i bought is jvc). so i guess ill just have to wait

sir with regards to the pairing of steering remote to the head unit. had mine successfully paired with my 2 din jvc headunit. so far so good everything is working. they will change the I.C of the steering remote to fit the headunit that you have replaced. had mine done by MASPRO autosound in banawe look for sir benjie just say na recomended by richmond of xenon headlamp.

i hope your SA also got the Key number (a tiny small plate that comes with the transmitter and the key itself.)

Also, as much as possible, DO NOT USE THE CAR FOR NOW! if someone really got the key and you parked the monty in a public place, there is an (IMO) 80-90% probability that you will NEVER see the light of day with that car again. Make sure no one comes close to it. It may be insured, but declaring that it was stolen will consume your time and money for the participation fee. seriously.

I inquired at Carsavers (Ziebart's) Makati... According to them, you still need to have the THOROUGH rust proof, because (according to them still), the factory rustproof is not enough daw to protect your car. Any opinion?

sir try checking the owner's manual. it has rustproofing already. nakasulat dun na it has 3 yrs warranty with regards to rustproofing. for me after 3 yrs tsaka na ko mgpapa rustproof ulit.

Yes sir, 3rd row lang. Yung 1st two rows kasi bumili ako ng pre-cut na. I think mga 3k+ yung inabot for the 3rd row custom cut. Basically covered niya yung buong likod kung nakatago yung 3rd row seats.

Sir, don't have a pic of the entire third row eh. This is the only one I have.



It was actually a picture of my sub enclosure, which I posted a couple of weeks back. Pero kita naman yung mat, so you'll get an idea of how it looks.

And yes, it's foldable if you want to use the third row. Already did that once.

Sorry to hear about that......

The safe way to overcome this problem, you need to buy 1 more new key from CASA, and ask them to re programm the code for all the key............so you lost key cant be use anymore.....i dont know how much the damage to your pocket......

We wish you all the luck sir! Please do share with us how the problem will be resolved as this is the first time a case like this is encountered in our thread. For the meantime, siguro put some steering wheel locks for added protection. Or, kung pwede din lang sana ikadena mo mga wheels mo just to make sure.

yup mickey's a nice guy, so is jojo. and hopefully they could fix my setup without them asking me to change my head unit or my seps... just the amp or the wirings pra no added gastos :D.
