TO ALL MONTY OWNERS:
just wana share with you a sordid experience of mine today when i had my 1st 1k PMS. To start with, the people in the casa were very accomodating and they even gave me a discount making my total charges only 4900 from the original 5500+. The problem came when I was about to leave the casa. When I was fixing the seats -- the 2nd and 3rd row to be specific -- I noticed that the 2nd row seat, the one used for accessing the 3rd row, won't clamp on the metal mounted on the car's floor. I tried once, twice, thrice -- harder and harder each time -- but to no avail. The SA who was concern enough to help and assist me came over and tried clamping the seat himself but he can't as well even with a forceful effort. Then, all of a sudden, I realised that the 3rd row seats have the same problem. What a vexatious feeling that was. Imagine my monty is just a month old. So i told the service advisor who happens to be in charge also of the warranty issues that I think I'm up to claim a warranty so prematurely. Of course, that's the beauty of the 3 year warranty but of course, you know, you would not want to get it as much as possible. I know you guys got my point.
Well, now I'm beginning to contemplate on whether i really made the right choice. To me, mitsu has done its job of toppling its perennial competitor by addressing a good ride and handling thus the tag line " enjoy the ride ." I am indeed enjoying the ride but not the hassle. In my opinion, mitsu still failed in the reliability department. I hope this is an isolated case but as far as I have observed in the thread here, there have been some issues and concerns raised already -- some were resolved, others i don't know. I chose the looks, the better ride quality, and the very tempting price but i think I'm now paying the price.
I'm still hopeful though that the people here in the casa would be able to expedite the replacement of my seats. I'm still enjoying the ride simply because my seat -- the driver's seat -- is still ok.
Anyone of you guys who have asked, requested, or availed of the warranty? I believe that the warranty can be claimed in all dealerships but I'll wait and see if the guys here would be as eager in providing the warranty as they were before in selling and promoting the unit. I hope this would not turn out to be like most insurance firms who are so fast in collections yet so slow in disbursements.
I'LL BE NEEDING YOUR HELP GUYS IN CASE I ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM HERE IN MY CASA (i deliberately conceal the name and location first for they just might be able to do the tricks and make me satisfy).
I hope you don't get to encounter reliability issues like this.
