pwede wala yang tune-up at manifold cleaning sa 40k pms. yung manifold cleaning pwede i DIY yan, or isinasabay na sa 80k pms kapag nagpalit ng timing belt. if you want to keep your warranty, hanap ka ng casa na pwede ka magdala ng sarili mong oil at filters, mas makakamura ka.

glad to know na DIY mo yung intake manifold. kapag nalinis ang pasukan ng hangin, mas madaling huminga ang makina, mas gaganda ang perfromance.

here's my 40k pms last year (sep 2013) at motorplaza calasiao in pangasinan...

breakdown:
1 pc A/T filter - 2,250
6 pcs A/T fluid - 3,350
1 gal coolant - 750
1 li coolant - 250
1 li brake fluid - 130
1 pc washer - 40
1 pc brake cleaner - 250
1 pc sand paper - 15
I pc silicon - 250
1 pc penetrating oil - 150
Total + vat 7,220
Labor = 3,445
Total Amount Paid: 10,665

btw, i brought my own RP oil and Baldwin oil filter which cost around 4k so more or less nasa 15k total nagastos...

Just want to share my up-comming 40km pms, nagpunta ko sa casa for the estimate cost kasi concern din ako sa aabutin na price dahil heavy check-up gagawin at will realy cost heavy money.. as showned

Nagulat ako sa intake manifold cleaning at tune up price! Buti nalang nakapagbasa ko dito sa forum ung labor na 4,500php for intake manifold cleaning na gagawin nila sa casa for 2days i've done it my self kasama na egr cleaning 3-4hrs lng kasama na pagbaklas. Thank to sir zix888 for showing how to clean egr.

Tune up for casa 40km pms cost 4,500php what for? My 40km check-up labor charge na nga 2,620.80php. Aysus casa talaga Oo

Buti nlng my other option nako and save me alot money kaya nagpakabit nko agad ng kn filter, occ, egr blank, cabin filter, at optiron kay sir zix namatitipid ko sa casa.. napunta sa benifits ng sasakyan.

kapag major PMS like 20,40,60,80....expected na rate sa casa nasa 20k and up. considering na wala kang dalang oil at mga filters. kaya huwag na kayong magtaka dahil mahal talaga ang pms cost ng montero natin. kaya yung iba na gusto intact yung warranty nila, at halimbawang payag din lang ang casa, magdala ka na ng sarili mong oil at filters para makatipid ka. yung mga egr cleaning at manifold cleaning, pwede mo na DIY yan o ipalinis sa mekaniko. yung ibang consumables na di mo mabili sa labas hayaan mo na sa casa.

Hehehe, estimated time lang may halong pagtatanga pa kasi.. pro alam naman panigurado nila sa casa na madali lang, di lang kasi normal na ginagawa sa pms at medyo kaylangan magdumi. Basta marunong lng sir magpihit ng turnilyo at may tyaga madumihan natatapos din naman. And syempre with care pa dahil ikaw may-ari

Sir I am also interested in trying to use casa mineral oil for my montero, Bigyan kita feedback tomorrow pagkagaling ko sa casa.... I am using synthetic oil since day 1 for my monti, subukin ko lang mag switch from synthetic to mineral oil for my 50k km pms kung ano pagkakaiba... of course, will have to change oil in my 55k km....

As far as I remember, either CF or CH sya. Yun fully synthetic nila yun CI-4

Hi rmsoriano, maraming salamat Cabalen. So if we will be using a mineral oil for our Monteros, then we better use Mobil Delvac, Delo 400, or any oil, because EGR-equipped vehicles need at least API CI-4.

readily available po eto sa mga auto shop most specially sa banawe...
