Mitsubishi Pajero Fieldmaster (Gen 2.5) [continued]

Guys - I need your help.
I own local fieldmaster (4m40) with 175K mileage.
The engine is eating oil and experiencing hard starting.
Once started i have to rev the engine up to 2Krpm for 5 minutes
as otherwise the engine will die. I live in QC and would like to get
your recommendation on best engine mechanic in QC or nearby area.

have it checked sa central diesel along qave... mukhang calibration ang kailangan diyan. kasi nagstart naman then namamatay nga lang... based sa experience ko lang naman yan having 2 diesel powered vehicles... pero kung makuha sa minor repairs (like change fuel filter) lang then mas-ok.

alaga ba sa tune up yan? when was the last time na nagpa-tune up?
-change oil
-change air filter
-change fuel filter

and also, anong diesel gamit mo?

For the consumption on oil, baka lose compression na? kailangan magpa-compression test ka.

sir kung nag change fuel filter ka na tapos ganyan parin, either clogged injectors na yan or worst, injection pump problem na yan. Pero madalas sa 4M40, O-Rings ng injection pump nasisira.


maraming sikat na gumagawa jan. pwede ka mag inquire muna para ma-assess yung problem mo.

yep, semi synthetic nga lang. I change oil every 5000 km naman, so no worries for me. tom_guts, what is the SRP na now? and do they still give discount if cut out yung barcode?

few years back (around 2004) my dad was getting it * Php 250 per can and now the price is pegged between Php 270-280. I did'nt know about the barcode thing until I've read it somewhere here at Tsikot. Nakarami sana ng discount dad ko back then if he only knew....

how much ba ngayon yung ralliart mags sa mga FM yung color is hyper silver ata or gun metal black. wanted those 16s prob ko lang is yung center cap na naka pair sa FM paj. gusto ko hindi bulging.

Try mo magcanvass sa may blumentritt Sir 23K ang kuha ko don sa ralliart 6 spoke black with polished lip swap ng 8K yong flower rim ko mas maganda magpark ka sa medyo malayo sa mga shop then maglakad ka na lang kc medyo nag iiba yong presyo pagnakitang nakapajero ka hehehe

Kayaba Gas-adjust yata yung pede tsaka mas malambot sa Med setting ng shocks natin, wait ka sa other Bro's baka me bumili dyan na di nagustuhan at ibenta syo ng friendly price...

Inherited the old Paj from my dad. Nag iba ako ng brand chief although semi-synth padin for a 4D56 engine Shel Helix Diesel 10W-40 (blue bottle) got smoother ride and better engine response (based on my experience!).

OEM is KYB. You can use the same and cheaper aftermarket. Try Mahle at BF or Paco Manila.

wala naman kaso if papalit mo eh non-sensor shocks... yun nga lang, for display purposes na lang ang s-m-h controls mo sa paj.

^ yun nga yung trade off ng non-OEM shocks. wala nanag SMH setting.

Guys I just found out na yung hold button ng AT tranny ko ay hindi gumagana pero yung power mode ay ok naman kasi may late shifting.

Pero sa Hold button hindi siya nag-hohold. Sayang kasi ok ito gamitin sa long disctance trip para mas efficient sa fuel sana. Electrical problem ba ito or may sending unit sa tranny case na puwede din culprit?

Grabe talaga tinaas ng bridgestone tires ngayon, kaya sakit sa bulsa nga chief! Ako nga I was hoping to change tires nadin w/ the old Paj I inherited from my dad kaso kulang na naman ipon ko laki ng tinaas ng Bridgetone!

If kulang sa budget, 2 lang muna, para sa rear. Tapos 2 uli for the front. Happy nga ako na bihirang magkaroon ng flat yung mga naging ride ko kaya halos di nagagamit spare tire. Kahit hindi na brand new yun pwede na.
