In relation to BG's post, had the time to drop by Rey's Electrical to have an additional 12v outlet installed so that the plug-in voltmeter has a "dedicated" area... Medyo obstructive kasi for me dun sa power outlet sa may shifter and I often use it for charging as well. I decided to place it sa blank space above the hood opener.

Total cost was P300 parts and labor (excluding plug-in voltmeter)
Just like BG's, it was tapped sa accessory power supply and a fuse was installed.

12V socket bought from DIY Shop for 80pesos

Thanks RT... Marami online sellers nagtitinda ah... Meron yung plug-in type, meron din naman yung parang may nakaabang na wires lang (for flush mounted applications; although wala ata lugar for our dash for this type) And most of them ship their items. Price range P250-800... (Malaki magpatong though yung P500 up price range IMHO and same din naman na product yung tinda nila)

Eto yung itsura ng flush mount

I observed lately na may dripping of coolant sa grahe. When I checked the radiator, mukhang may leak kasi may wet area palibot ng radiator top. Mukhang hindi naman galing sa radiator cap. What could be the problem? I also observed na medyo tumataas yung temperature gauge pag minsan.

    Thanks for any advice.

That's a good place to put that socket. Good idea!

By the way, have you guys had problems with charging your phones from your lighter sockets? I bought a 2 USB slot Griffin socket charger and it doesn't seem to work in my FM. It works in other cars so I know the charger works. Now I tried using the lighter and it also works so I don't really know what the problem might be.

Yup no problem... Lalakihan lang ng konti yung butas dun sa area na yun kasi the 12v socket is kinda big.

Sir, why not try bringing it sa casa para macompare nila sa parts catalogue nila... Based on your avatar you're from Dagupan? Ito nearest Mitsu dealer sa inyo based sa MMPC website

    Zee,

Mukhang JDM yung Pajero mo. Subukan mong konsultahin si Joseph Atutubo kasi kabisado niya ang local at JDM na Pajero. I-search mo nang lang dito yung contact number niya.

KILL, I usually encounter the same problem with my auxiliary socket below the radio. The lighter socket is not as "picky" as the auxiliary socket. Have you tried using another usb plug with the lighter socket?

Yes I have. Before I bought the Griffin, I bought a cheap one from a stall in Glorietta. It didn't work so I thought it was just a faulty product. I got a box of these Griffins and they work OK in other cars except on the FM. It makes me wonder what kind of voltage actually passes through. I used to stick a digital voltmeter in the auxiliary socket and it worked fine. The lighter also works OK in the lighter socket so I know both work. Maybe chargers require higher voltage?

KILL, why not have an electrician take a look at it. Maybe there's no contact with the sides of the lighter socket; which you need for a USB plug but may not be necessary to make the lighter work. Just a thought.

I'll probably give that a try. Thanks man. I just hope they find a solution. It's quite annoying how I can't charge in the car when I'm driving.

if it's not grounded...it has something to do with resistance since LED are very efficient.. a small electrical current is enough to power it. the phosphorous is also a culprit in some cases. use a tester and see if there are current running even when turn off
