Kaya dapat talaga once every 40k kms eh ipa-dialysis ang transmission natin. May kamahalan nga lang pero it is part of the maintenance ng ating sasakyan

On my AT rigs I interchange the dialysis and drain/refill with ATF filter replacement method - every 20k kms or 2 years whichever comes first. Mahirap malumaan ng ATF. By the way sa Fronte ako nagpapa ATF dialysis.

    Follow this steps.

First you need to locate this hose para ma-drain yung ATF sa torque converter.

    1. Remove the hose shown in the illustration which allows the ATF to flow from the ATF cooler (built into the radiator) to the transmission. (this is the little u shaped one in the image above)

    2. Start the engine and discharge the ATF. Driving conditions: N range, idling

    NOTE
The engine should be stopped within one minute of it being started. (tama lang ang 1 minute based on my experience, max na yan ha.) If the ATF has all been discharged before this, stop the engine at that point.
    Discharge amount: Approx. 3.8L-4.0 L

    3. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission case to drain out the remaining ATF.
    Discharge amount: Approx. 1.8L-2.0 L

NOTE THIS IS THE TIME WHERE YOU CHANGE THE GASKET AND THE SCREEN FILTER IF YOU WANT TO. Ideally every 80,000kms you change this 2 items. This is also the time-consuming part.

    4. Install the drain plug with a gasket in between, and tighten it to the specified torque.
    Tightening torque: 39 ± 2 Nm

    5. Pour in new ATF through the oil filler tube.
Amount to add: Approx. 6.0 L

    NOTE
Stop pouring in the ATF once 6.0 litre has been poured in.

    6. Repeat the operation in step 2. (to pump out the rest of the contaminated transmission fluid)

    7. Pour in new ATF through the oil filler tube.
    Amount to add: Approx. 4.0L

NOTE: Check for contamination or a burnt odor. If the transmission fluid is still contaminated or burnt, repeat Steps 6 and 7 before proceeding to Step 8.

    8. Connect the hose which was disconnected in step 1, and then securely re-insert the oil level gauge.

    9. Start the engine, and let it run at idle for 1 - 2 minutes.

    10. Move the selector lever to all positions once, and then return it to the N position.

11.Check that the transmission fluid level is at the "COLD" mark on the dipstick. If the level is less than this, add transmission fluid.

12.Drive the vehicle until the transmission fluid temperature rises to the normal operating temperature [70 − 80°C (158 − 176°F)], and then check the transmission fluid level again. The transmission fluid level must be at the "HOT" mark.

Technically you will need 11.5-12liters of ATF for this operation. So medyo kulang pala yung dati. Change the screen filet pero yung gasket natapon nang wife ko so gasmet maker na hi-temp ginamit ko. Okay din nama. No leaks so far. But I still recommend buying the gasket.

Mas gusto yung D.I.Y. dialysis, kasi pede linisin yung strainer. Unlike sa machine if dun i dialysis and marumi yung strainer, after nun marumi pa rin ang strianer.

If you're from QC you can go to Fronte in Banawe. Labor is P700 for Dialysis service. COmpute na lang for your ATF requirements para you have a fairly good idea of total cost.

Thanks for posting that procedure Ry_Tower. That was very helpful.

For those who have bought and replaced their ATF filter, how much does one usually cost?

P890 nga yung ATF filter at P650 yung gasket iirc. OEM price.

Kasama na dun yung alignment which is usually P1K diba.
