    Hello Guys:

    Re Aircon PMS:

Allow me a shameless plug, tell me if I should post elswhere. Talking of aircon pms, do you know that pulling down the in dash evaporator is not needed on newer cars that have a cabin filter? Just change or clean the filter. What matters more is "flush" the a/c compressor oil, change the oil like you do on your car engine. The oil is burned up by day to day high temperature conditions in traffic and ageing, the color you note changes from near clear light yellow to medium dark brown like dark beer Eventually, the system like a car engine develop sludge or deposits that clog the expansion valve, hilaw na ang lamig ng a/c niyo. Then the oil flow is reduced, and due to oxidisation it fails to lubricate the compressor killing it.

We have an a/c service machine that will flush the system in 1 1/2 hours, then we inject new oil, load an accurate qty of freon (no guess work), our machine loads by gram weight, not pressure gauge reading. Regular flush and oil change every 3 yrs or 40tkms whichever comes first) is the key to preserving your car a/c performance and avoid premature expensive parts replacement (new expansion valve, compressor, dryer etc.). We will soon have a machine available at a branded car dealer and charge at Php 3k to Php 4k/job depending on a/c size and if single or dual evaporator design. This price is comparable to pulling down the unit the traditional way in small shops but much cheaper than casa prices. Spare your lovely car the suffering of dismantling the entire dashboard etc.

Tks for your postings about the Grandis, after reading most of the past 30 pages, I am convinced its a good 2nd hand buy to replace our 2004 Chevy Zafira 7 seater MPV. I will buy one soon as I have sold our Zaf. The Zaf is a good car but much smaller, it served us well for 5 years with no major troubles.

    Cheers!

Hello! New Grandis owner here. I just wanted to ask where you buy new wiper blades for your vehicles? and what brands are available? Got an expensive first lesson yesterday when I bought new wiper blades in the mall. I only followed the lengths needed, not realizing the hooks of the driver's side and the rear were different from the standard ones available in stores. Out of the three I bought, only one was easily installed. I had to take out the rubber blades off the other two and slip them on to the original blades.

Salamat Sir! I asked sa casa kung magkano doon when I had my Mirage serviced. Cost is around P1,600. Sayang din yung P200.

Tama si Spat NWB ang brand 28" ang longest and i bought mine sa greenhills naman. Another alternative is toyota as same as size and opening ng wiper with the previa. If you want to go cheaper try buying refills nasa 500 lang.

*spat napakabit ko na the new muffler. 30 minutes lang so hopefully tatagal na

Anybody else find the stock headlights too weak? I was thinking of changing the bulbs to Osram Nightbreaker Plus. Would this make a huge difference?

Medyo mahina nga. Alam ko merong nagpalit ng headlights bulb or ballast. Backread ka nalang boss.

Btw, hid yung headlight low beam ha. Im not so sure for the earlier models kung hid din sila. So for the hid models, di ata uubra ang nightbreaker (or may hid bulb din sila. Di ko kasi kabisado e)

2008 and up ata ang mga grandis with HID so better check if hid sya or not. If not the osrams are good.

*Spat napalitan na ba your muffler? Nagdecide na ren ako magpalit ng mags 18"s
