Nakupo! nasa pinas ngayon ang galant ko. di ko na alam ang engine no. pero ang alam ko stock pa rin ang engine. problema ko kasi ang TCM at ECM nyan. mejo fluctuating na. kaya gusto ko dito na lang ibili sa states. kaya nga lang ang mga galant dito puro 2.4 engine. di ko tuloy alam kung magiging compatible ang mga TCM and ECM dito. malas nga at di ko nacheck ang part no. baka sa kaling me nakaexperience na magtanggal ng ng ECM at TCM, baka naman alam nila ang part no.

Mga bros good morning! baka naman me makatulong sa akin sa mga galant users dyan. a few questions lang about our car. Im here in San Francisco now at iniwan ko ang car ko dyan sa pinas, balak ko kasing bmili ng parts dito pero just to make sure, gusto ko malaman ang specs ng car natin

1. me nakapagpalit na ba sa inyo ng ECU at TCU ng 1994 galant super saloon? ano ang part number nito? humahanap kasi ako dito, pero yung 1994 galant nila ay puro 2.4 engine(although same engine looks sila). wala silang 2.0 na katulad ng galant ko. meron sila na pang 2.0 na ECU at TCU pero pang 1991-1993. para makasure ako, need ko malaman ang part#. kasi baka mamaya ang mga ECU at TCU ng 1994 galant ng pinas ay pang 1992 lang dito. pls help naman dito.

2. ano po ba ang 1994 galant super saloon? DOHC ba or SOHC? baka kasi by knowing this, maicompare ko na kung ano ang compatible na ECU at TCU.

mga sir tulong naman, baka me nakakaalam ng part# ng TCU at ECU ng 1994 galant SS. pakishare naman po. thanks ng madami!

i may not be able to give you a concrete answer because i'm not a Galant owner... but i'll try:

1. im just wondering, wala ka bang mahanap na surplus dito sa pinas? i'm quite sure if you would look through, you will once you get back home. but since you're still in Bay area, you can probably consider the ECU/TCU that is being used for its sister model: 1st/2nd Gen Eclipse because it also uses the same engine: 4G63. I'm not too particular with the VIN of Galant simply because i didn't bother to look at it.

2. What you have, the 7th Generation Galant 2.0 Super Saloon had a 4G63 2.0 16Valve SOHC engine throughout its lifespan here from 1994-1997. The other engine is a 2.0 V6 6A12 for the VR but that is a different story... hehehe...

We don't have the VIN system dito sa Pinas. Only the chassis and the engine no.
Kung ang chassis no ng galant mo ay E55ASRHEQL, then the ff part nos are applicable.
ECU: MD190873
TCU (A/T): MD757630

That is why you might need to check po your chassis code.

I know someone who bought a MAF in the US thinking na similar lang sa atin kasi same engine and same year model but then it turned out di compatible.

Safest is to purchase the part dito sa pinas na lang po..

I would really appreciate it very much specially from you guys galant owners. May binebenta kasi sa akin, OK lang ang price pero baka mahal siya in the long run lalo na sa maintenance etc. Pros and cons niya and kung may cell no. kayo pwede kong ma i text for inquiries. hi guys, kabibili ko lang ng 1990 galant 2.0 carb type. binili ko para may magamit ang wife ko. so far maganda naman ang ride except sa fc na sa tingin ko medyo malakas. may mga inquiries ako regarding sa galant.. anu function ng L and R sa may center console... may knob yun na pwede i-choose kung R or L, ginalaw ko yun pero nothing happen.

Im a 99 Galant VR (AT) owner. I bought her (she's "my GA"L kasi tawag ko sa kanya) last 2007. Very low maintenance sya dude! Unless ,of course, pag di talaga inalagaan ng previous owner...so be mindful na rin of any kalogs and add-ons on the car. Buti nga when I bought mine, stock pa lahat. Timing belt at brake pads (rear) pa lang ang major paayos ko (which costs around 18k sa CASA pa yun). Gas Consumption is pretty high kasi Matic na, malaki pa engine (2.5 po sa akin). Pero in it's class...matipid na sya. 9km/lr HIWAY Drive and 6km/lr CITY Drive. Pero I made my own estimation (to and from the office) and I consume about 8km/lr.

Here's some helpful info about the car you may wanna buy. Actually this issue of TOP GEAR (11/04) is the reason why I fell in love with the car and sought to buy one.

hi! pls help me, mine is a 97 vr, my rack and pinion is somehow damaged, it rattles,although there is no evident leak, it rattles, sounds and feels loose.. any idea if it can be repaired or should i rplace it? it cost too much to buy brandnew, can surplus rack and pinion be an option? pleas help,tnx!!

Hi guys, i'm from cavite. Mine is a 6G SS, wla ko masabi sa performance fuel consumption lang talaga iniiyak ko 2.0 kasi engine ko pero ok lang masarap naman idrive. I think we should have an EB or something. any suggestions kung saan? sana yun medyo malapit lang sa south...

btw, maikwento ko lang. pagkagaling ko sa main office namen sa paranaque may nakasabay ako sa daan tatlong 6G galant so bale apat kame 2 black and 2 din kameng red, as in makakasunod kame na parang may ride. imagine kung makakbuo tayo ng Galant club and different gens pa, astig di ba. pwede tayo magtulungan sa mga problema natin sa galant natin and exchange opinions, thoughts and idea. sana makabuo tayo ng club........

Mga Gurus, prob ko po sa aking 7G Galant.
1) Tuwing mabagal po ang aking takbo at kung mainit ang panahon, may langitngit po sa aking likod na gulong. At sa tuwing ako ay tatapak sa preno, mas malakas po ang langitngit.

2) Tuwing ako po ay magtataas ng gear, mejo kumakadjot po ang aking oto at pumupugak-pugak pa ang tambucho kung minsan.
Pinalinisan ko na po ang Servo, nawala sya ng mga ilang araw pero ngayon balik na naman po.

Ano pa po kaya ang aking pwedeng gawin?

Tinanong ko sa mekaniko, ang sabi baka either Fuel Pump or Fuel Filter daw.

Ano pa po kaya ang posibleng problema nya?

i have the same problem, what i did was to tune up the engine, clean or replace spark plug, air filter. then my mechanic inform me that the culprit was my high tension wire. kaya palit ako ng seiwa... ngayon ok na.

mga tol bago lng aq d2, patulong nman. Balak q kc bumili ng galant shark vr4. Ganu kya katatag makina nito? Umaabot din b ng 200,000km ang kya takbuhin ng makina nito? Balak ko din sana lagyan ng 18" na rims anu kaya magiging epekto nito? Maapektuhan kya comfort nya? Panu ko kya malalagyan ng 18" rims ng hindi masyado makakaapekto s comfort and performance?
