Overdrive meron kaya parang addtnl gear. Sports mode pangpalakas lang sa gas kaya no logic kung ipapang habulan, trying hard SUV.

Let's admit it. The past decade reliable talaga nagawang vehicles ng toyota kaya tumaas din ang sales, thanks to their good finance management at lumaki ang pondo nila kaya mas madali makagalaw ang R and D. But now ang trend ay alliances at merging kaya yung ibang brand nakikipag sabayan na din in terms of design and reliability pero ang toyota sa pag profit pa din ang iniisip, puro rebadge para makatipid kaya struggling sila to regain the crown overall.

Yup nice observation. It somwhow comes to a point na na-surpass na ng ibang brands ang quality/value ng toyota product. Para medyo naiwa sa pansita si toyota still thinking the best parin product nila. But im sure once marealize nila ang situation, they have all the resources to easily bounce back. Wag lang too late. Volks and Renault group are in the hunt

I was at citimotors lp to have our monty's head unit's clock issue fixed. while waiting for the tech, i saw a display unit of the xpander & decided to make a cursory check of it since i had nothing better to do for the next few minutes anyway.

It's definitely a looker w/ the futuristic front facia it sports. The xpander's appearance is very different from other vehicles in the street but it's no way as quirky as the polarizing appearance of the love-it-or-hate-it nissan juke.

I was a bit surprised w/ the smallish size of the vehicle though. I guess it's really taking aim at the avanza, the mobilio, the ertiga, and the brv segments. I think it's going to make a big dent in their respective market shares once mitsubishi gets into gear accepting & releasing orders

I saw one in display in Ayala Center Cebu. Yup i thought it would be bigger.

What concerned me is that it only has a standard 4-speed A/T. I thought CVT was the norm for MPVs now.

the 4at will last longer.

^ and l'm guessing the standard 4 gear a/t is cheaper to build & to source translating to lower SRPs
