not correct. automatic hand brake engages when engine is off. kaya pag na lowbatt or engine is off, hndi mo pwede itulak yan kahit naka neutral. hydraulics ang steering ng new montero not electric assisted.

Meaning I don't have to press the electronic parking brake every time I turn off the engine since automatic na handbrake?
just in case lang, Is there any way to override manually just like shift lock override?

It is my understanding that if the battery dies, the parking brake system won't operate.

Tapos kapag low batt ka na ang alam ko it won't apply or engage as well. Para alam mo na low batt ka na and you won't have a problem say you want to leave it in an incline. Mapipilitan ka gamitin AT shift to Park just to make sure na hindi gagalaw sasakyan.

Pero tama ba, mas reliable ang park kesa sa hand break? And I'm sure just like other cars, di mo pwede alisin yun key unless nasa park na. So not much problem kahit malowbatt while engine off and nasa medyo inclined position. If nasa N lang at naka hand break, tiyak naka power yung engine, di naman siguro bigla nalang mamatay yung batt unless may electric problem talaga.

Pero honestly I think di naman mag ddisengage yung handbreak kung nag engage sya before malowbatt. No technical exp, pero I'm sure napag isipan narin yan ng mga engrs. :P

Also, may car na bang accurate mag indicate na if pinatay mo yung engine, di na sya sure if kaya nya pang i-on yung car mo sa next time? :D nakakahiyang kasi palitan pag wala pang sign off weakness. Pero pag pinabayaan mo nalang, 1 day ayaw na mag start. Haha.

bro, sa alarm mo malalaman. pag pinatay mo cya may maririnig ka na parang tumataktak. alarm yun, ibig sbhin mahina na battery. and sa HU ng montero may battery monitor dun, sasabihin yung status ng voltage ng battery mo.
