Took out the montero for work (highway driving and terrible city traffic) today and my initial impressions:
Little annoyances first:
1. Jack rattles and resonates when you close the left side doors or trunk. (Need to tighten or deaden/insulate)
2. Factory matting sucks (don't see this lasting more than a year)
3. Alarm indicator light always on (already sorted out)
4. Not detailed (from 60 to 50 then !) fuel range in a matter of minutes, wish it had 60, 59, 58, 57, 56..... looks like they did intervals of 50s and 10s only
5. Cant turn navi off (anybody knows how?) for now i muted it.
The great parts:
1. Driver seat is way comfy in actual long distance and heavy traffic use (great driving position as well) better than current gen sta fe
2. Headunit has pretty good features; audio wise, there is time align, 7 or 8 band eq (a simple speaker swap would do wonders i think, but i'm still putting in a system)
3. Surprisingly adequate led headlight output
4. Rattle free (aside from jack)
5. Generally quiet cabin even at 80 to 120 kph (my mazda 3 is more noisy)
6. Just right steering feel (not too light and not too heavy)
Things to add or replace soon:
1. Matting to all weather type (prolly weathertechs avm)
2. Sound system (dsp or hu, amp, seps and sub)
3. Tonneau cover
4. Good quality tint (didnt get dealer freebie)

Is it true that all dealserhips of diamond motors are no longer offering units for test drive? During car shows/events na lang daw pwede.
This is according to the SA from Quezon Ave i talked to. I already have a reservation but I told him I'll wait for a test drive before I purchase.
Any idea why this is the case?
May napansin po akong butas dun sa may stepboard (drill hole) may ganun din po ba mga monty nyo?

Notorious in what way?
Actually mitsubishi dealers in general aren't the most easiest to deal with (the ones i inquired with and purchased from (two dealers), very bureaucratic when it comes to purchasing and releasing units and worst of all the unit itself isnt in the best condition upon release.
Poor buying experience to be honest. Our last three purchases arent like this at all, lexus, mazda, and hyundai were great buying experiences
It means that hindi naka ARM yung Alarm sir.
1. While the Ignition is OFF press the RED button just below that Blue LED.
2. While pressing, at the same time ... Press the Ignition button untill Accessories (do not start)
3. Then you will hear a BEEP... means... your ALARM is now engaged.
