I see. What were the bad experiences? My mother is planning to get a Kia Rio since its cheaper than a VIOS and looks more modern inside, those bad experiences might also carry over to their sedans?

I definitely agree with that the montero is more macho. I've added some carbon fibre covers to the headlights and tailights (not a fan of chrome) and I'm very satisfied with the looks of my Montero

anyone tried putting plate mount of a strada to monty? how much? bolt on ba? may project kasi eh, mas mapapadali if gagamit nun.

Update on my 2013 GLS-V (bought 12/20/2012)

- Almost at 700km palang ang tinatakbo
- No new mods
- Still no plates but according to Citimotors LP, meron na though wala parin sticker
- Optiguard Maintainance from Big Bert's done (still really impressive)
- Medyo mabigat parin ang steering compared to other SUVs
- Same na need alalayan yung manibela pag pabalik from a turn (i read somewhere na ang TOE sa allignment ang usual culprit nito. If ang TOE is 0 (actually mas maganda nga na 0 ang toe para pantay kain) talagang medyo aalalayan niyo na bumalik ang steering. Also did an alignment on my Jazz and TOE was set to 0, medyo napansin ko na aalalayan narin. But i might be wrong.
- Touchscreen HU sometimes malfunctions. Either hindi gumagana yung FC gauge. Napansin ko rin na minsan ayaw gumana ng SW controls ko for the HU. Napansin ko ata ito when i used my Cruise Control, ayun hindi na gumagana ang volume, track and mode buttons. Weird
- A little gripe on the "kapitan ng kamay para makasakay" (not really sure what is it called). Wala sa driver side and sa passenger side e sa taas located. Nasanay lang siguro talaga sa iba na sa may side or A-Pillar
- Hindi pa naman bumabaho yung sa lob ng car due to no cabin filter
- I like how it runs now compared when i first got the unit. Runs smoother and ramdam na ramdam ang hatak. 120kph is a cake
- Like others stated, napansin ko rin na when you use the paddle shifters when on D mode, hindi na siya automatic na babalik sa D. Pero this was already solved by other members here.
- Alarm sometimes nagloloko rin, even when unlocked button pressed sa remote, after opening the door biglang mag fflash ng mabilis yung ilaw na blue then mag aalarm na.
- Overall, as of now, i am really impressed with the performance of the engine and suspension of the Monty. Medyo crappy lang yung integration ng HU and the alarm. Parang hindi talaga OEM ang feel. hehe!

Sir, pano mo napagana ulit yung SW controls ng monty mo. Nagloko yung sa kin kanina right after magkaroon ng PM reminder sa HU

BTW, any MonteroSport Club Philippines admin online? I would just like to follow up my membership application. Sent it last January, maybe the admin/s were busy during that time Thanks again

Sa mga naka glx at non vgt, wala ba talagang ilaw yung +- sa may gear shift? Ngayon ko lang napansin na yung PRND lang me ilaw pag naka on parklight.

Does anybody here experiencing problem on thier Reverse Sensor (GLS-V)? My sensor currently can't detect near objects and yung beep ay consistent lang yung tunog. Buti na lang may camera ako naka-install.

GLX owner also, got my back-up sensor as freebie. Pag sa casa around P5k-6k yan. Sa mga car accessories shop minsan di pa aabot sa P2k.

sir if i were you, i will use 4-eye backing sensor. since wala pa holes yung bumper mo, mas maganda yun. casa's price is too much for 5-6k. 4-eye sensor cost 1.3-1.5k lang. gusto ko nga sana palitan yung sakin, kaso wala sa balance yung holes niya kung gagawin ko 4-sensors. if you will look inside the bumper, yung provision ng backing sensor holes pang 4-sensors, yung current na butas eh wala sa provision

kaso masyado risky, need to remove the clear plastic on top then put a hole in the black plastic para mag pass thru ang light. ended up illuminating yung knob guide

Thanks sir Zix for your input. Wow 5-6k.. mahal naman. Kinonsider ko casa-installed kasi baka may mavo-void na warranty kapag sa labas pinagawa. BTW, by provision you mean may mga nakahanda nang routes and wires for the sensors? Sorry for the questions, unang sasakyan ko kasi kaya pinag-aaralan ko pa.

Rear plastic bumper got scratched while parked last week, unfortunately e walang nakakita.
Additional safety precaution sana yung sensors para at least yung error on my part naman ay mabawasan.

Why not opt to have back up camera instead? it only costs 6.5k from casa. I had it as a freebie though

Sir kiros0110, akala ko significantly cheaper yung sensors kumpara sa backup camera hehe. E di naman pala nagkakalayo ang presyo, might as well consider to have the backup camera

Hi, around 7K for mine. Could not remember exact breakdown, but around 5.5k for the oil 1k for oil filters and 500 for the other stuff like cleaning rags etc. so total is a little over 7K.

I got it from sellers on sulit, just type montero carbon accessories on the search box should show you some sellers. By the way I am on the hunt for grab handles on the A and B pillars, and the floor tool/storage box (mine is GLX and there is no floor/storage box like the GLS)
