Kust got a gls-v blue. Nalugi yata ako kasi ang free lang is lto and gps. Sayang hindi ko agad nabasa mga post dito.

Anyway, kung bibili ako ng 20" mags ilang series dapat ang gulong? Ano anong brand or model na busina ang malakas? Medyo naliliitan kasi ako sa horn.

    Thanks!

At pindutin yung unlock sa remote pag lalabas na o may sasakay na sa monty?
if the key is inserted, the lock /unlock function of the remote cant be activated.

yup meron din ko nyan due to expansion and contraction of metal parts.meron nga rin ako naririnig tok tok sa likod maybe coming naman from the spare tire pag nalubak o passing a humps pag ung rear wheel na ung sumampa tumutunog.meron din naman na hissing sound coming maybe from the evaporator sa rear due to gas expansion naman

thats what i normally do w/ the monty to avoid unwanted triggering of the alarm.

caution though: beware, nakalock ako sa loob using the remote, kalimutan ko i-unlock muna bago ko i-attemp magstart engine,, ayun pag key-in ko ng On-II, nagwangwang na.. haha.

Correct me if i am wrong sir, isa rin po sa mga natanong ko yung dealer sa las pinas, sabi lang nila wala pa sila unit for test drive.

Although i know and maraming nagsasabi na maganda and okay yung ride ng montero, i still want to experience it firsthand. Wala nmn yang balikan pag nabili mo na eh. Just my 2 cents.
Sir negon sa ctm lp po wala tlga all citimotors i dont know with other dealers. Syempre sinasabi nlng yun na may testdrive tpos mageexcuse na wala para di ma dissappoint yung prospect client

    1. Refuel for php1,000 say *php42.50 per liter which gives you about 23.52 Liters.
    2. Reset your Trip Meter to zero.
    3. Let it run until you hit the low fuel warning light again.
    4. On my case, my Trip Meter reading = 240 kms.
    5. Manual FC compute = Total Trip kms / Total Fuel Volume previously topped.

    240 kms / 23.52 L = 10.20 Km / L
Hi ash0279. I am a newbie here, and got my Montero 2013 Non VGT GLX AT last December. I came across your post, I used the fill to full tank method and compared the liters with the kms and came up with this. results

    Last month 691kms/ 69.25L = 9.97
    This month 495.3kms / 51.62 = 9.59

Mixed driving (highway 70%, city 30%), overall I am lightfooted on the pedal, though my city driving is usually is in horrendous stop and go traffic - given the terrible traffic in the metro recently). Hope this gives most readers here an idea of the FC.

By the way I realized there is no grab handles on the A pillars. Is there a way to add one? I have been asking stores in Banawe and Bangkal but no one seems to have one. Is it hard to install, or there is none available at all? The fortuner has one, why not the Montero, even aftermarket ones?

I just did a quick look at the specs in a popular car magazine site in the PH... so it has lower HP (150hp vs 178hp for monty), but it has a lot of tech like hill decent rate control, traction control,
Hi, just like to add my 2 cents to the query posted by vky. I own a Montero GLX AT for 3 months now and I can drive a MT (driven an adventure, lancer, l300 and corolla in my 20 years of driving. I can comment on my actual driving with Montero GLX AT but not with the Chevy Trailblazer, but what I can read about in the specs. The gist I see is that P1.36M Chev Trailblazer (no traction control, hill assist etc) is bigger MT 170K more than the GLX MT,. and 70K more than the GLX AT, but I don't necessarily see it to be better other than for a few interior features and bigger size, + weaker engine than the Montero GLX. Here is what I see in detail.

    1. Size : Trailblazer is bigger it is 87mm (around 3inches wider), and 171mm (7inches longer). How that translates to the cabin / interior which is more important (no sense getting a bigger car and difficult to drive in tight streets, I don't know so you need to check it out for yourself. But I'm 5'7" and light built and I find the drivers seat not luxurious but no cramped. The 2nd row is more than adequate for my family and kids the third row is cramped but livable for short rides. Fold flat third row is marvelous as it give me a very good loading capacity.

    2. Engine : very adequate, and mine in Non-VGT. I can do 100kph easily at under 2000RPM, and even do reverse up parking ramps easily, and if I need to pickup speed there is the turbo lag, but after 2-3 it rockets forward, and I can go up to 130kph by by reving up, then it drops back to just above 2000RPM hey I'm cruising at 130kph no problem. I am more than happy with the power.

    3. Transmission : being an MT user for 20 years, I am very picky on AT transmission performance - ease of use, fuel economy etc ( I know vky you want manual and you can go ahead and get manual I am just pointing out how good the AT of the Montero is). For one is the ability to shift on the fly, i.e. running 50kph (4th gear) and need to do quick overtaking, override and shift down to 3rd gear and overtake no problems.

    4. Nice to have interior feature : The trailblazer from the specs has a cargo cover and 6 speaker, but no roof racks. The montero has roof racks and only 4 speakers, so I guess on the creature comforts the trailblazer is ahead but hey its 170k more.

So I guess it boils down to larger interior space if you need it then Trailblazer, of if you can live with the smaller montero and get AT transmission (for easier city driving) then the montero is the better bet. But test drive the trailblazer first and the montero so you can see if that what I said are true hehe.

Hi Rodimus - I think you're FC is already good, given the driving condition you mentioned plus being your Monty as an A/T.

Re grab handle, yan din concern ko. Sana may mag DIY dito later on.

We have similar FC (last replenishment as per manual compu is 9.7kpl)as far as driving condition is concerned being mine as manual vgt limited. Re grab handles, I am on the hunt as well. I even posted same on 2012 MS thread. Still awaiting inputs from owners too. Everest doesn't have grab handles too, I ain't sure if the 2013 everest already have this one. What I saw from the net after thorough searching is the hanging type which I don't think suits our SUV's interior.

So hindi tama yung claim na mas mababa ang FC pag non-VGT by 2km/liter? Mine is GLS-V , my FC is 9.62 km/lit ,that was last week.

5 days of driving the montero and I must say it is a worthy replacement to my carens! Haven't experienced the problems mentioned here hope they were already rectified in this batch.
