i got monty gls-v '12 model..i've noticed that whenever i pass by sa mausok na lugar, napapansin ko na nakkapasok ung amoy ng usok sa loob ng car (slight only) eventhough all windows and ventilation are closed..is this normal or may defect ung monty ko? any idea?

Same here sir, just got my Monty last week pero wala GPS.Saan makakabili ng card for Nvigation?Pwede ba natin ipa service (PMS) change oil yung sasakyan sa kahiy anong Mitsubishi dealer?Bought mine sa las pinas pero taga pangasinan ako.

Madami ata pwede pasukan outside smell aside from the vents, read somewhere that if you remove some of the step sills or cladding makikita mo yung daan so yun pa lng pwede na siguro pasukan ng amoy, some would even try to put additional undercoat dun sa mga areas na pwede pasukan ng amoy during their rustproofing. Dun din ata sa firewall nung engine may mga areas na pwede pasukan ng amoy.
Anyway what I do is to let the outside air in once wala na ko sa mabaho na part ng daan but most of the time nawawala naman agad siya so no need to let the outside air in

This is somewhat of a turn off... may ibang sasakyan din na ganito ang "problema" kahit bago? It does not sound reasonable na ganon sa bagong kotse. Malas mo na lang siguro kung may sinusundan kang truck ng basura or baboy? :S Joking aside sana magawan ng paraan yan...

So aside from heavy steering, occasional stereo/GPS issues, and "poor" insulation to outside smells is there anything else to look out for on the Montero? Are there others here who find the step board could be wider or are there a lot of people who find the step board too narrow?

guys, noob question about dual aircon ng monty, does this mean meron din itong fan/blower located sa likod, or shared na siya with the main blower near the glove box compartment?

The models that does not have the overhead aircon vents had 2 blowers..maybe you can check your manual sir if the 2013 has also blower for the rear ac vents..

In my experience the outside smell should really be overwhelming outside para maamoy sa loob. Nakabundot nako sa mga truck ng basura, smoke belchers, even been to Payatas and approx 99% of the time di mo maamoy yung amoy sa labas.Truck ng mga baboy talagang di ko dinidikitan, bad trip panu pag bagong linis sasakyan mo, natitilansikan nung tubig na they use to cool off the animals pati windshield damay. For some reason mas madalas pumapasok yung magdridrive ka through a thick smoke na may nagsisiga sa labas. Sa Manila once in a blue moon ka makakakita ng ganung kakapal na usok sa daan but I go to the provinces sa may DRT highway along the Baliwag/San Miguel route dun madami.

The smoke belching issue is one of the things that can really be annoying. Medyo sensitive ang smoke belching issue ng monty sa maintenance. In my first 10K kms been using dino oil and euro 2 fuel. Pag malapit na end ng 5K kms maintenance ko parang may smoke screen ako palagi when accelerating even with a light foot. Solved the problem by cleaning the EGR and MAF, using FS oil and Euro 4 diesel. Alin sa tatlo naka solve, di ko alam pero ngayon umiitim lng usok sa unang birit mo pag "nagiitalian tune up" ako ;).

Step board, most of the time di ko nagagamit dahil paglabas ng paa ko malapit na sa ground pagpapasok naman at ginamit ko siya yuyuko pa ko para makapasok, pero useful sya to clean the roof of the monty.

meron din po sa likod, at least sa GLS-V

Same here,noob. Better have it checked kasi sa mga ibang forums talagang wala ata nak install na aircon filters. Haven't seen my Monty yet but that is the first thing I will check. Torque aircon filter and suggested ng madami. But correct me if I am wrong. Tsikoteers, help please! TIA

Anyone who know how much a decent black roof rack for our montero will cost? Shark is offering 17k and the sales agent said it is in "promo" pa.. any other brand?
