Im assuming you are from bacolod because of your usermane. Maganda sana sir unioil since they offer euro 4 diesel. However, there is no unioil station in bacolod so better fill up with the second best which is seaoil with euro 3 diesel. Plus, seaoil in bacolod gives the additional 2 pesos/liter discount even to private cars which the big three gas companies only give to jeepneys.

(Read the manual, you can also learn the function of EBD, BA... then, it might amaze you ang give some knowledge/confident about your driving & braking.)

Dinala ko sa casa, pag check nila , pinalitan yung ABS sensor under warranty after that dina naulit.

GLX pa lang meron kasi they are still depleting stocks of 2013 model. Madami pa saw sila M/T. Mga 2 months daw before bumuhos stocks ng 2014.

    Back-up Sensor (2-eye) = P6,500.00
Door Handle Chrome Cover = P2,000.00
    Head/Tail Cover = P3,500.00

I want to get the 4-eye sensor but they don't have it. Even if they had it, it's going to be more expensive. With regards to the tint, its not 3M. I forgot the type they mentioned but it suppose it's of the low quality type. Could you please tell me if the prices are fare or if I can get them at a much cheaper cost elsewhere.

They also gave me a package consisting of a GPS SD Card, Back-up Sensor, and Spare Tire Cover for P17,000.00.

I'd appreciate your immediate feedback. Thanks guys.
Is this thru financing? Did they gave you a discount aside from the ones you mentioned?

Anybody else who tried to do this? I tried this with mine and it did not work. Locking while inside the car still arms the alarm. :O

    the good:
    1. the montero is in its element during speed runs on the nlex, sctex and mcarthur hiway from tarlac northward. really enjoy feeling its speed and power overtaking long lines of other vehicles including long trailers and buses.
    2. in 4h mode, speed runs on marcos hiway to baguio felt similarly satisfying. overtaking buses and trailers going up steep inclines is a breeze. really feel the difference in power and traction vs 2wd.
    3. another route you may want to try to take your new montero through its paces is via the mountain roads of bataan going south from dinalupihan crossing west through mt samat and northward along the south china sea coast of bataan to subic via morong. heaven...this vehicle is really fast and powerful.
    4. regular pms at diamond motors q ave via appointment is problem/worry-free so far
    5. very good flood fording ability
    6. fc deteriorates from 11-12km/l highway to 8-9km/l in city (qc,manila, edsa rush hour) traffic (though the worst never goes below 7.8km/l) still better than the innova vvt-i
    7. oem gps is the way to go (though provincial roads are less accurate than city roads). very useful tmps. fairly accurate fc displayed in the head unit (approximates manual computation closely)
    8. suspension is very good
    the not so good:
1.in fully stock form (synthetic mitsu oil and oem filter), using unioil from non-flooded stations regularly, the problem the answer to which continues to be elusive, is why since it was bought, does it continue to emit intermittent black smoke during hard acceleration (3000rpm up). after egr has been cleaned and several tests via laptop at the casa (all normal), black smoke emission appears to have lessened but not totally zero. other brands' crdi vehicles do not seem to do the same, only monteros. is it an engine design problem?
    2. driver's seat not so ergonomic (but easily solved using seat cushions from concorde)
    3. toyota oem alarms are better (cant lock without activating the alarm) and no stock speed sensing door locks
AHH WELL....SO FAR still no regrets as we went through a lot of research before deciding on the purchase. Here's to other satisfied Monty owners. Stay safe.
    Nice review sir!

Regarding your smoke problem, it is because Mitsubishi omitted the cataytic converter in the 2.5 engines. What we see stock form is only an empty shell. The benefit is a powerful engine at the expense of more visible black smoke.

Things that can theoretically decrease black smoke production are the use of a less restrictive air filter and EGR blanking. You might want to try.

Inside air filtration.

Nice work on the Montero bro. Simple pero rock.

nasa warranty period pa din ako but here are my inquiries mga paps:

plus one na din ako dito, hows the performance after EGR blocking? can anyone recommend saan pwede mag pa block ng EGR, ano ba magandang metal plate na gamitin dun? will it not affect the ECU settings of our ride?

yung cabin filter, i agree on this. this will help.

regarding OCC, ang carbon ba, considered as an oil? bakit naging oil catch can? di ba end product na ng combustion yung bumabalik sa EGR, plus its a fuel - diesel. di ba walang oil dun?

i agree that it can protect our intercooler kase mahihiwalay yung vapor / dense air sa droplets ng carbon. you can correct me mga sirs.

all of these 3 items are beneficial sa ride natin. i just want confirmations and feedback.. lalo na sa mga technical guru natin sa forum na nagawa na to and labas na sa warranty period TIA
