So why does somebody need an Oil Catch Can Tank ? The reason is, that the valve rings do not create a perfect seal. If they did the pistons would not be able to move up and down. Because there is a tiny gap between the cylinders and the pistons, a little bit of pressure is able to escape into the valve cover area. At the same time burnt oils are also escaping into the valve cover area. This is called "blow by". This stuff is nasty and does enter the valve cover area and will escape into the PCV line (red arrow). The PCV line will recycle these burnt oils into the turbo /intake (yellow arrow)which will go into the intercooler. this will start to coat the inside of the intercooler with oil, and reduce the heat exchange efficiencies. Of course, the intercooler works best when the interior surfaces are nice and clean.
we put OCC to trap these nasty oil, making the whole system pretty clean. yun nga lang you have to drain the can, like in my case, once every 12000kms kasi compact lang yung size ng OCC ko eh

    3) remove the the sd card ( upper left portion of the lcd monitor )

    4) copy/paste all the files you downloaded into sd card, replace all. Insert the sd card back, and assemble the head unit cover back and you are updated.

I dont know if the risk > benefits kng nakalimutan idrain OCC vs. walang OCC.

BTW if i remember it right may mga previous car models na may OCC, kalimutan ko lng kng sino.

I own a 2011 gls-v MS and I am just a recent follower of this forum.
I find this particular thread highly-interesting & informative & my kudos to the very knowledgeable, resourceful & helpful active members to the forum.
This is the first time I own a turbo-diesel run engine - in fact, the first time I drive a turbo-powered vehicle.
I realize our engines have certain peculiarities particularly as to it being powered by a turbine.
I am not sure if my question has been tackled already in past threads but may I inquire on the use and the necessity of an auto turbo timer?
    Is it a necessary equipment?
If not, do we need to idle the engine for so many minutes prior to turning it off after a long trip?
    Thank you.

yes you need to wait for a couple of mins before turning off the engine. if this will give much inconvenience for you, then turbo timer will give a big help

this will be your basis, if you live and drive around the metro, no need for turbo timer. if you drive by nlex/slex often, you have to put one. thats what my fully automatic turbo timer logged.

The original of the gtv rear spoiler is supplied and retailed by Winterpine. I don't think it's made of cf - it's merely wrapped in decal with cf design. It's good enough for me.
Not sure if they retail the rear bumper garnish as well.

Wala naman issues yung maps niyo? Haay, sa Non VGT kahit ginamit na namin yung file may issues pa rin yung maps. Anong file kaya yung kulang para magdisplay nang maayos ang maps?
