mga sirs! good evening! i'm one of the proud new owner of my Mitsubishi asx gls se! here's my story, I was in the market for my first brand new car and my choices were Subaru xv, mazda cx-5 and Mitsubishi asx, after tons of reviews I ended up with a really good offer from my agent so I took the plunge and got my Mitsubishi asx last may 24! so far so good im about to reach my 500kms im really happy with it's performance, well considering that my only comparison is what im using 6 months prior I got my asx was a 2013 Isuzu sportivo, the very first thing I noticed is it's quietness, handling, very very smooth and linear cvt and it's 'sophistication'! I know im comparing apples to oranges right now but im just really really happy with my chosen car!
mga sirs quick question lang, i'm not really planning to heavily mod my asx because I think it's rarity is it's uniqueness in the streets but can you guys give me some advice on mods that I can do with my baby? Ive been reading the thread and saw some k&n filters, brakes and such (not yet ready to replace the shoes) what do you think should be my first step in moding my baby?
also (this one is really noob) coming from a diesel dinosaur era odometer with no l/km readout on FC, i'm reading my asx odometer usually at 12-16.2liters/100kilometer how do I compute for kilometers / liter?
last question im really curious on how I can get the best out of my engines performance while maintaining the best FC as possible without sacrificing the longevity of my engine, does k&n filters or unichip helps? thanks in advance and looking forward to future eb/funrun soon!
Brakes - there are big brake upgrade kit available from SPEEDLAB. But it would require you to have 18 inch wheels or bigger to make them fit. Aside from this, you could also upgrade the brake pads themselves to have more bite.
Air filter - your choice of drop-in replacement like from K&N or an open cone type. Advantage of drop in replacement is the air still comes from the OUTSIDE the engine bay which is cooler although the intake passage may restrict the air flow a bit.
Wheels - so far I have been running on 18 inch GTA wheels and I am quite happy with the overall look of the ASX with them.
Tools - aside from the standard toolkit that came with the ASX, I also included a few other things like battery jumper cables (get the higher amp rating as the cheap thin ones are not effective), tow cable, collapsible warning orange road cones and half a dozen bungee cords with hooks (to tie down stuff in the cargo area).
In order of importance (to me):
Bosch Europa silver horns from Winterpine, backup camera from Ebay (not sure if the SE has one already), high-end dashcam, floor mats, Tonneau trunk cover, trunk rubber mat, seat cover from Seatmate, power inverter, mud guards, K&N drop-in filter from Amazon.
Plus digital tire compressor, vacuum cleaner, LED dome lights.
Software modifications:
Door auto-lock, etc.
many thanks for the welcome! and for the l/km to km/l I got it sorted out today, thanks! I went out for a quick drive along commonwealth kanina when I got home I realized im halfway for my first 1,000k pms, i really really love the sound of the grunt note the engine is giving me on sports mode!
question, what's your usual fuel consumption? and any preferred gas? im using right now shell v nitro+ pero before that i used xcs im not sure with other asx users pero i noticed when using v nitro + mas less ang consumption nya (i think)
i got my unit from abad santos its a gls se model i was asking kasi their accessories kasi wala syang reverse camera, ang sabi sakin pwede daw lagyan pero void ang warranty, so i guess i have to wait for 3 more years or 100,000 kilometers before i get one? or do you think i should have it installed ang sabi naman nila pwede daw kung sa pwede lagyan kaso void ang warranty. dahil cbu sya from japan.
i can live naman (for now) the beeping sound of the sensor even without the reverse camera pero syempre malaking bagay parin kung may reverse cam.
another concern is the seat cover ang sabi din nang dealer sakin wag na daw lagyan nang seat cover kasi theres a possibility na hindi mag deploy ang airbags sa side pag may seat cover would love to here you inputs on this one too.
last one para saan po ang power inverter?
maraming salamat sa mga inputs! and your suggestions are greatly appreciated! guys wala ba tayong fun run or meetups? parang ang saya kung magkakatabi tabi ang mga asx natin hehe!
On my 2013 unit, the air duct is diagonally above the hose/tube. mga 1/4 inch siguro yung gap/distance between the two. I have a pic showing this. I'll try to post it later.
side view...
from another angle...
looking at the pics, baka hindi naibalik ng maayos yung bracket that holds up the air duct?
actually fixed sya because of the bracket that's in the pictures of the air duct. pero nagfleflex sya ng kaunti.
Congrats on your new baby sir!
Simply divide the 100km by indicated liters. 100km ÷ 16.2 liters =
Hope it helps Sir. Enjoy your new ride!

Congrats bro & welcome!
My views are for, rear view mirror (wide angle), window visor, mudguard, reverse cam, dashboard cam, tire caps, horn...
For me, regular cleaning of airfilter (every 4-5k PMS) & the rest, leave it as is!
Best FC means savings, but putting some expensive modification is an opposite of savings & reduce possible claim of engine warranty. Performance will change but not a big factor.

Hindi mavo-void ang warranty ng buong kotse o kahit ng electrical components. Bili ka ng backup camera sa Ebay ($20) tapos pa-install mo sa Winterpine (P500) -- official service provider sila ng Mitsubishi at ng ibang brands.
I suggest you read this thread or use the thread search tool for specific topics. You should also read the manual, from which you will learn a lot. And as always, Google's your friend.

Can somebody confirm tungkol sa revolution while at P or N, up until 4500rpm lang kahit apakan pa ng husto ang accelerator?
