Hi guys. Planning on buying a 2nd hand Pajero BK (2012) over a brand new Montero. Am I making the right decision? [emoji5][emoji45]
If I go for the 2nd hand Pajero, may I ask for tips that I should look at to assess condition? The usual pa lang is what I did: checked for oil leaks, electronic components like power seats, power mirrors, locks, airconditioning, rusting under the seats (in case na baha), no fogging sa lights. One unit I'm looking at is around 60k mileage already. Thanks!

Check mo din ang suspension kung may leak and do a test drive to see if there is some noise that may possibly come from it. Tingnan mo narin kung ok pa ang quality ng leather seats, kung may cracks na sya, especially sa beige kasi pag ganun it usually means na bihira lang linisin ng owner yung leather sa loob.

My family has the '16 model but the current one is better than what we have right now.

Pros:
- not common despite being in the market for a decade
- good offroad capabilities
- good headroom and legroom, as well as interior space thanks to back foldable seats wc can be folded flat
- powerful vgt engine on par with current ppvs
- easy to drive, steering does not feel cumbersome to turn
- very good smooth independent suspension
- gives people the impression that you are a politician or you work for the govt
- large discounts may be offered by some dealers

Cons:
- old yet still relatively expensive model
- nvh levels, while not that crude, somewhat feels unrefined for the 4m41 due to mild vibrations felt on the steering wheel
- interior feels dated but comes with modern hu
- small 3rd row seat with somewhat complicated folding mechanism can fit children only
- doesnt look that macho with the small, awkward stock tires therefore doesnt look proportional at stock
- heavy curb weight at around 2000+kgs may affect acceleration, as well as fuel consumption
- waiting time, if any, may take months depending on the availability of the color you'll choose

But this is actually a better pick than the safari because, while it doesnt have the more classic, macho look of the latter, it does have better capabilities, thanks to the more powerful engine, modern tranny and better interior too.

Iniisip ko with the forced maintenance sa casa to keep the warranty kay Monty, kung magka repairs man si Pajing ganun din siguro gastusin, naka Pajero pako. Thoughts guys?
