Current consumer A/C technology does not have any definition for "inverter-class" or "inverter-grade". It either employs an inverter compressor (ie. variable-speed compressor) or it doesn't. There is no middle ground.

BUT, if you force an interpretation, it's just a marketing stretch to convey that the unit is consuming roughly about the same power as a slightly larger inverter A/C that is running at its minimum cooling capacity (ie. the compressor is spinning at its lowest speed). But still, it's apples and oranges.

So really, it bears no meaning aside from being a marketing gimmick to get your attention.

This is like the Peak Music Power Output (P.M.P.O) labels on overrated boomboxes. The large sticker in front might say it can do "5,000W P.M.P.O.", but in reality, it's just a system that can roughly make 50W RMS.... if at all.
