Iniisip ko kung worth it ba yung 3% rebate na nakukuha ko sa HSBC card ko for every transaction ko with Caltex or should I go with Seaoil since mas mura sila.
Iniisip ko din kung bibili ba ako ng detailing products ng Meguiars. [emoji23]

How hard life is when you don't have enough money![]()
I really don't know what my family did to deserve all this suffering. Iniisip ko na lang, ang importante we don't have any major sickness. BUT life is still hard, ang hirap gumalaw pag walang pera.
You can rewrite that chapter in your family's history if you push yourself and your career past the ceiling you set for yourself.
And from your posts you seem relatively better off than a lot of folks. You personally own 2 nice cars which were given to you. You live in a very expensive neighborhood. You have a vacation house in laguna. You have access to other properties that you can dispose off for cash. Your aunties constantly buy you small presents. Sometimes its also looking at the glass as half full rather than half empty.

I'm just crying here. I want to sell my 11th gen so bad but I don't have extra cash to pay for the difference to replace it with a new one. How pathetic diba?!?
I don't think I will get anywhere in terms of my career. My BFF just got promoted to AVP and she said she is far from a 6 digit salary. Even if I get promoted to AVP and get a 100k flat salary, it will not get me far. It looks like I have to leave the PH if I want to save money but my risk is I'm not guaranteed a job there naman.
Our family has a case pa nasa supreme court. Ilang decades na. Damay damay na everyone

Akala ko ano na ang problema ni cathy. Pambili lang pala ng bagong kotse. [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]

Thats not pathetic. It just means you need a bit more time.
I know you are in line for the AVP position. You have mentioned it a couple of times. Use that as a stepping stone. In your company or in another. Send your CV out. Getting pirated is a good strategy to increase your earnings. Talk to some headhunters and get yourself out there in the market. The economy is growing and expanding and companies need managers with skills, experience and knowledge that you may posses. And they will pay for that.
Try not to count on what your family can give you (i know its easier said than done) but rather what you can give to yourself and what you can give back to your family. Sometimes a simple attitude and viewpoint change can make a world of difference on your outlook and outcome.

Definitely agree. I know a lot of people (myself included) who have none of what Cathy has but are grateful nonetheless.
An attitude of gratitude goes a very long way.
I know easier said than done if you already have a certain outlook ingrained, but a paradigm shift is the only way for a better life.
3 tips I'd give:
1. Focus on your sphere of influence
2. Have a clear vision of what you want and how to get there
3. Suck it up through the tough times and don't give up
Good luck Cathy. I hope you find peace and contentment.

Very timely.
Mejo naliwanagan din ako recently lalo na sa health scare ko and about money.
I noticed na i am not contented sa sweldo ko. Parang ang liit liit. Pero nung cinompare ko sa kinikita ko before, i have a lot to be thankful for.
Not bragging and all pero contentment dapat.
You can have all the money in the world pero if youre not contented, wala rin.

Exactly. I was driving down McKinley a few days ago and I wondered - "Are those living in Forbes and Dasma any happier than the people living in, say, Sampaloc?"
We all know the answer is no.
Money only amplifies what you already have. If you have discontentment in your heart, more money will not solve that. It will only make you crave for more expensive things beyond your reach.

To what end?

Btw, I think it's perfectly fine to want higher income (to provide for family, to pursue your dreams, etc). But a goal without a plan is just a wish - so if you want higher income, be ready to work towards it.
Whether that means getting promoted, getting pirated, starting a side gig, or whatever - the important thing is to take action. But I'm sure you're working toward something bro, so I wish you the best.

Contentment is a double edged sword. On one end, you can find hapiness even in smallest things. On the other end, you might loose focus on your end goal. I guess it comes with age?
20 to 35 - goal driven
35 onwards - contentment?

Yes of course! Hehe good luck too bro!
We should work on how to improve our lives but at the same time, still be contented on what we have.
Some don't even come close to earning 100k a year, pero they are happy kasi they are contented.
Sometimes you have to create your own happiness.

100k is ok if youre debt free..
