hehehe I have to admit I like buying stuff for family and friends. When I see something that I think a friend or family will like, binibili ko for no reason or occasion My love language is "gifts" kasi. But I need to control that. It does not help na gastador yung office BFF ko who I spend so much time with. Ako pa pumipigil gumastos

Because of your never ending free but valuable advise, i decided to make a spreadsheet of all my expenses.

From there i can closely monitor my daily expenses. I use debit card on almost everything kaya i get a bank statement every end of month.

I noticed that i spend the most on food. Food that i don't actually need like merienda eh may pagkain naman sa office. I noticed i could have saved at least 10k a month had i not ordered those.

Will try to cut down on unnecessary expenses. Goal is to save at least 80% of my salary. Either invest it or dagdag ko sa insurance ko. Hehe

I remember this story: There was a shoe/slipper company who sent two agents, let's call them A and B, in a far away country to scout for new market and possibly putting up a factory.

Agent A went ahead early in the morning to do the survey. Afterwards, he called back saying, "Boss, it's a bad idea to put up this kind of business here. People don't wear slippers."

Agent B did the same survey. This time, he was so excited as he called back saying, "Boss, this place is a good opportunity for us to put up this business! The people here doesn't wear slippers. All we have to do is teach them how to use one. The market is all ours!"

You see, both agents saw the same place and talked to the same people. Everything is the same, except that the other guy has a different way of seeing things around him.So yes, it's all a matter of perspective.

    And so I've read,

"For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing."

Things that concern us is actually a trivial matter if we consider life itself.

Some would say this is how people who are not wealthy try to make themselves feel better ...

I made 12k/month before taxes in my first job. To save money, I ate a packed lunch or carinderia takeout plastic baggies and bought only the essentials.

When I was starting my business I sold stuff retail out of the back of a borrowed car. When I started selling to companies I was my own sales agent and collector. Even drove my own truck to make deliveries.

During those times, even when I wasn't making much I never felt like I was poor. Even with my meager income I could buy what I needed. I didn't have money for nice things. But it always felt great that the money I made came from the sweat off my back. I wanted a lot of stuff I couldn't afford, but even without those things I was happy.

Now I sell stuff out of the back of my own car. How awesome is that? April fools lol.

Doing a lot better now but same as before, I still want stuff I can't afford but even without those things I'm still happy. Only difference is the stuff I want now is a bit more expensive. So to me it's just really learning how to live within your means.

I'd try to absorb whatever I can from the guys here. I'm constantly amazed at how generous they are with their hard earned lessons from life experiences. They say experience is the best teacher. How awesome is it to get those lessons here for free?

You should really put more thought into trying to change the way you view and do things. One thing is for sure. If you don't change, your life will more or less stay the same (if you're lucky).
Kaya kita idol bro eh. [emoji122]

Wish I could muster up the courage to jump into entrepreneurship like you did, and be successful at it.

Yes. 300/day, like how I did it back in college. Saw no reason to inflate my lifestyle. Many people live with much less and even have families to feed.

Very good share, guys. Right on the dot. Attitude to things is always the beginning and before you know it, you'll be surprised at how much you have achieved over time when you reflect.

Ah no bro, my mortgage takes a big part of my income now. And I don't live off 12k a month anymore. But I did before when I was a fresh grad.

Haha. So i thought. Still, that kind of lifestyle is medyo galante na para sa fresh grad.
