Personally, it's never happened to me. But, how can some people get sick from being soaked in the rain? Yet, when they take cold showers via bucket and can, they don't get sick.
I mean I spent a few years in the PH. I've had my share of showering in the rain (it's fun).
I can see people get sick if the rain is near freezing like the late fall and winter rain in NY State. But, warm rain? Hard to figure out.
I'm trying to figure it out without looking online.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; July 21st, 2016 at 09:12 AM.

July 21st, 2016 09:15 AM #9282To add: if you get soaked in the rain but manage to keep your head dry, you'll be OK; but if your head gets soaked by the lightest of drizzles, you get sick

Delikado talaga ang mga lamok,- some years ago, my only niece got one of probably the worst part of it [different sickness than dengue],- but thankfully, with God's help,- got over it! There are a couple of other persons who were not as lucky.... Hope they will recover, too, soon!

Yup, that was three years in a row. Almost same month. This quarter of the year. The weird thing is I don't have the common dengue symptoms.
I just feel weird and exhausted at the end of the day, but if I sweat out like go for a run and take a shower after, I'm all fine. Finally one night while going home I can't really take it anymore plus I threw up in traffic. I drove myself to ER and got the test. 1 week stay...hehehe but my platelets never really get so low in the danger zone, after 2 days of stay in hospital platelets count is climbing but to be sure I always stay for a week everytime.
