Two days ago, my sister texted me that she couldn't pull out her key from her AT Innova. Thinking that she locked the wheel, I told her to rotate the steering wheel and pull out the key. She didn't come back to me and so I thought it was resolved.

Yesterday she told me that she left the lever in N and this was the reason why.

Simple solution, put it in P and pull out the key! However, the ignition setting would still be ACC(essories) and so the radio and the clock at a minimum should still be powered on... I don't know why she didn't notice that...

Anyway, just like our other AT rides except the GS, at N, you cannot pull out the key, accessories are enabled and you could not start the vehicle.

Lesson - when stopping, always put the lever on P, and listen to loud music... 🤣😳😎

a common reason why we don't notice things,
is because we weren't looking for them in the first place.

in my innovae, an alarm beeps when i open the door with the engine off and the key still in the socket...
