Same thing with my BPI ATM card,- dilapidated to say the least,- still functional though. It could go anytime....

I tried opening another savings account in another BPI branch, presenting to the BPI person my legal IDs, my current ATM card, and even my preferred client card,- with the intention of getting a fresh ATM card. This is in their ATC [mall] branch, as I do not have the time to go to my branch.

The BPI person in the ATC branch was asking me for a 1x1 ID picture as this is a requirement daw....

    Hayyyzzzzz.....

well, they do need to verify whether that person is that person, or an impostor... rules and all that.
but why do you want/need another one, po? doesn't it get confusing at times?

Doc,- my current ATM card is again dilapidated and about to go...

I need to go to my branch of account to have the ATM card replaced - takes me out of my regular work schedule and super traffic in the area.

And so, getting a new ATM card (by opening a new account) from a mall branch suits my schedule....

What I do is that I have a main account separate from the ATM savings account I am using..

I am just transferring the money to the ATM account via bpiexpressonline, and I withdraw the money..... With that I will just add my new ATM account in my bpiexpressonline and there goes.....

And make the current ATM account dormant..... or terminate it... Transfer money to it,- and withdraw all the money.

I didn't even open the pin.

My Mom does it! Hahaha. The pin is on the card (on paper)

    reminds me of bpi.
it sent me a pre-approved card (meaning, i didn't ask for it). i just looked at it.
a few months later, it sent me a bill for the card. annual fee daw.
    i just looked at it.
it kept sending me the same bill, for a year or two (i forget which).
finally, it sends me a letter, saying they are canceling the entire transaction.

^ the same thing happened to me. bpi family bank sent me one of their credit cards w/o me applying for it. i never used nor laid my eyes on it after receiving it. after a year or so they sent me an email billing for the card's annual fee. i have yet to respond to it

the pins of my credit cards i don't know. i have never thought of changing their original security pins since i haven't had any need of availing of their cash advance feature . am i being careless about this ?

I dont think CC's cash advances feature is activated and from what I remember you have to request for the PIN numbers and they will send the number to you via mail. Parang ganun nabasa ko Before sa brochure. But that was a long time ago hindd ko na alam paano ngayon.
