    ganito lang po yun

for me it's not about the numbers

what doesn't make sense to me are these 2 statements:

    1. pinoys are among the smartest in the world

    2. pinoys rank #10 in ASEAN (di naman sinabi kung IQ ba o math&english or whatever)

kung among the smartest in the world ang pinoys, hindi sana dead last ang pinas sa ASEAN

kasi kung sa region palang huli tayo, ano rank natin sa buong mundo?

lamang lang tayo sa African countries?

i'm not saying hindi matalino ang pinoy

    hindi yan ang point

my point is hindi tugma ung 2 statement

    yun lang
Let’s not quarrel about it anymore. I was the author of that post.

I tell you I know my facts.

Intent is a state of mind.

True, meron pa ibang benefits at philhealth na nakukuha ang gov't doctors.

Yung private doctors na sikat/established na ang maganda ang kita esp if may rounds pa sila sa hospitals aside sa clinic afaik, at least here in our province.

Only SG 18 or something? Still small compared to ASPRO, which is I think SG 21 or 22 now.

I think that’s the reason why some PGIs or residents sold the samples given to them by the MedReps to augment their income.

I hope it’s no longer the practice now.

I think under SSL, a medical officer III of a government hospital or MHU doctor only receives a pittance compared to a consultant in a private hospital.

Unfair comparison. MO 3 is a resident. Siyempre mas malaki kita ng consultant. And many consultants in private hospitals also practice in public hospitals.

The 20k vs 60k comparison more relevant because that's the salary range of private vs public.

Also, it's the residents that are being put at the frontlines. Consultants are last resort, most only come in for critical cases. So you're overworked and underpaid staff are the ones at most risk.

    Okay, I can understand that.

I don’t keep tab of the salaries of Medical Officer IIIs or residents of government hospitals.

I’m sure in the 90s, the salary of a resident was only 15k more or less, but that was then.

My point was, I wasn’t making a dichotomy in terms of salary between private and public.

From my perspective, those in the frontlines, especially those connected with the government who are governed by the civil service laws, are obligated, in times like this, to serve, and they are receiving meager salaries.

And it isn’t even a “fair day’s wage for a fair day’s work,” so to speak.

Papasukin ko pa kaya yung labandera namin tom? I'm worried kasi baka magpasok ng virus sa bahay, though she won't go inside pero dadaan pa rin siya garage etc. I can't impose on her naman to change her clothes kasi she came from outside

Or am I being too paranoid?

you're not paranoid, do maximum defense against infection. give her a mask immediately and shower change of clothes if she agrees.

Okay. I won't make her report for work na lang. Medyo ang pangit if i tell her to shower before she washes clothes. Maybe next week mas maayos na

    That isn’t paranoia.

    That’s really a concern.

If the virus is already in her system, to change clothes won’t cut it.

Do you have thermometer or a scanner?

    You assess her.

Or you do the laundry yourself.

    We actually have the problem.

Asked our driver how they are, baka wala ng load. I'm also worried for them kasi pinapaalis na yun sa house nila and they are supposed to move in with us. Yung all around namin, nag self quarantine na ata sa bahay niya hehe

Mukhang tama si shadow na mas problematic is they all lived with us, mas madami foot traffic sa bahay

Sarili ko nga hirap na hirap na ko disinfecting myself when i go out, kaya ayoko na umulit.

Yes, that’s right. But, if she has a fever, then it’s a red flag.

You probe her if she has sore throat or dry cough or all symptoms of the virus.

If you hear hoof beats, think of horses, not zebras.
