Am I pathetic for going to hospital check ups alone?

I used to not be able to go to the doctor or dentist without my Mom or Dad or Aunt or Lola. But now that they are all senior, I don't want them to go with me since seniors have to avoid hospitals. Niloloko pa ko dati kasi kailangan may katabi ako pag kukunan blood. Now I do everything alone.

But most have spouses or kids or siblings to accompany them. Ako lang kasi mag isa sa doctor's office. Lahat may kasama (though senior naman lahat sila)

Okay din sa doctor ang daming regalo na food from patients. Hahaha. This doctor seems to have generous patients, lahat may dala, kahon kahon pa!

It always has been, but for the big time doctors I guess. There are some doctors who demand this from the med reps. But if I'm not mistaken they have already disallowed this. But I wouldn't be surprised if they still do. That's why our medicines are expensive hehe.

It seems unethical. I saw a med rep leave a ticket kasi so I was surprised.

Re medicines, that's true. My Mom has to buy her meds in the US because it's so expensive here. My friend buys her allergy meds in Bangkok.

Maraming junkets ang mga doctors in the guise of symposiums and conferences. More often than not pharma companies will sponsor their "client's" fare and accommodation.

Kawawa din ibang med reps kasi ginagawang driver ng mga ibang abusadong doctor to and fro the airport. Pero kumikita din naman sila jan so i guess they just have to roll w/ it

Our Doctor na IM lang hindi pa specialist to ha at sa Clinic lang dito sa City.namin ang clinic niya dahil nag resign na siya sa hospital. Umaabot pa hanggang UK ;)
