A notoriously corrupt Department of Public Works and Highway district engineer was arrested and detained over the weekend after allegedly trying to bribe a young congressman, newly-elected and one of the richest in Batasan, to halt an ongoing probe into anomalous flood-control and other projects in his district, according to Babbler.

Babbler said the engineer allegedly dropped by the lawmaker’s office a few days earlier and offered a 5%–10% cut—₱180 million to ₱360 million—out of ₱3.6 billion in projects already awarded from the 2025 budget, in exchange for dropping the investigation into ghost and substandard works.

I don't understand why a lot of Spanish families are sending their children to Chinese schools? They speak better Chinese than Spanish

    from what i observe,
parents send their children to other-language schools. speaking a second language is a great advantage in life. and sending them to the second most widely spoken language on the planet, is but logical.

TVs are becoming obsolete in our household because of the wide array of streaming services on mobile and PC devices. The wife n kids each have their own subscriptions on their tablets. I'm fine with free YT while the rest of the family have Netflix and Hulu.

This is true. I haven't turned on my TV in over a year. Although when I am in the US I watch a lot of TV, the channel with all the game show reruns from the 70s and 80s. I love the Price is Right

all of My Officemate are Upgraded their Car to the latest Montero some others
Latest version of Fortuner or Terra,
i was thinking tuloy to Sell my 2015 Fortuner and Upgrade it to a new one ,
But my Fortuner is a garage queen and also the suspension is upgraded since first day,
so it means it doesn't give me a headache ever since ,
perhaps i'm the 1st owner kasi, kaya na Maintained ,
Siguro i will Upgade na lang my Tires into Toyo Rt or BFG since expired na din ang current ko and i'll put a Hidden Winch , para ma Re-fresh naman siya kahit luma na ,
Since im not a Fan of SUV, I only use it when the weather is bad and there is a possibility of flooding.

I hope even after the heat over these Nepo kids has long dies down, people won't forget their parents' shenanigans.

Good luck with that. The president himself is a product of one of the "original" people who did these things. Anyone care to recall the stuff they did?

I don't understand these nepo kids. Why do they have to show the world their purchases and lifestyle. Why can't they just maintain a low profile? I'm sure the people around them know they are rich so why do they still need to prove it to strangers on the internet? Also, their parents dapat pinagsabihan sila. We're not even rich but my Lola, Tita and Mom would remind me and my cousins not to post properties and events on social media. Kahit background sa zoom meetings they check kung proper. Mind you, we're in our 30s to 40s but we still get guidance.

Yung mga nepo kids na walang social media, safe sila from bashing.

Yung Dizcaya Duterte admin lang pala yumaman, I can't imagine the gravity of corruption na they were able to amass a disgusting amount of wealth in less than 5 yrs. Yung mother ng Dizcaya domestic helper pala sa UK. From being the daughter of a DH to owning a Rolls Royce, hindi nga lang sa marangal na paraan.

And funny how he called for a lifestyle check considering the life he lived thanks to dad and mom's itchy hands. And of course there's that other bunch of Nepo's from "D.C"

That's the noveau rich a.k.a. biglang yaman for you. They brag about their wealth eh galing naman sa kaduda dudang paraan. There are still a lot of wealthy people who earned their fortunes legitimately but still keep their feet planted on the ground.

With these nepo babies, right now socmed is so full of hypocrisy and virtue signaling.

As if di nila gagawin if presented with the opportunity.

I think everytime magbaha, maalala sila. Sana tuwing umulan, ilagay mga auto nila sa flood prone areas. Tapos dun sila sa loob. Sa dami nilang kotse, kahit tig isa sila. Then ulit-ulitin hanggang maubos mga kotse nila.

Then again, Filipinos are a forgiving lot. Like what Miles said, they elected the OG nepo baby.

Sana nga matakot sila. Like how Hitler got scared when he found out what happened to Mussolini, & shot himself. Dapat ganun na rin sila.

There are people pala talaga na hindi nagtatanggal ng hasang sa isda? That is gross. My Lola taught me how to clean fish, malansa yan hasang at laman loob.
