I also want to understand why some drivers continuously honk when they can clearly see what's causing traffic and they have no choice but to wait a little bit for traffic to clear out.

That's another pet peeve. I would like to think that they are venting their frustration?

They honk at those who unnecessarily cause the traffic to let them know that what they did is not okay.
(i.e. red light beaters who get stuck in the middle of the intersection).

Yung driver namin sabi ng second Mom ko parang pusa kumilos kasi sobrang quiet haha. Minsan bigla nawawala (which my Mom does not like) kasi I go out sa garage during odd hours (past 10 pm) when I have to throw my fat lab's poop bag, tapos wala yung motor niya. I never hear him open the gate, tapos pag alis or uwi ganun din. I don't know how to tell him na if he goes out pls tell us naman Don't want him to think naman na controlling or strict kami pero hindi ba dapat nagpapasabi even within our family parati kami nagsasabi pag lalabas kami. Nagsasabi siya before pero habang tumatagal hindi na...

Usually naman he leaves before 12 am if he wants to come home to his wife. Dapat talaga magsabi siya hindi yung nagdisappearing act. Parang naga act up yung wife kasi ayaw talaga niya mag stay in driver namin. She blames us for her paranoia that he is womanizing kasi they live separately. E siya yung ayaw mag move in, we spent a lot of money to build a house in our backyard. So that's her fault na.

Sometime I wonder, how da heck the Philippines is still one big country.

Geographically speaking, matagal-tagal na pwedeng may mga humiwalay talaga na mga isla. Culturally, medyo Malaki din Ang pagkakaiba Ng mga katauhan from Aparri to jolo ...Ika nga ngbeat bulaga. Linguistically speaking (pun intended hehe), malayo din Ang difference. Ripe for a secession talaga ilang dekada na Ang pinas.

So what's binding the country together?

If I had to guess, money.
Provincial infrastructure is dependent on taxes collected from NCR, otherwise it'll be back to dirt roads and subsistence farming.

    2024 data:

IFP projects as of June 2025 from a BSP report:

GDP per capita is high in some provinces, but nowhere near enough to sustain infrastructure projects.
So the far flung provinces are willing to accept governance from a distant Malacanang because it gets them roads, electricity, etc.

So much for all this talk of Mindanao-secession (funded and influenced by Chinese).

it's just like a ct scan, only longer time needed.
and there's that background noise that they simply can not get rid of... it's annoying to some, that's all. personally, i found it ... interesting.
and as in all enclosed or crowded spaces, it's not for claustrophobics.

I had it done once. Hindi naman ako nainip at nasikipan. Siguro depende kung whole body at gaano katagal. But overall hindi naman mahirap. Just mind the purpose why you're getting it done.

This morning, there were around 12-15 motorcycles in front of us cars. Occupying the whole road of Buendia corner Tordesillas. Kailangan ba talaga lahat ng lane? Karera ba sila on green?

the vast majority of 'cyclists aim to be ahead of the pack.
    nothing else matters to them.
