    doctor versus doctor.
who is to say who is in the right?

they may be 52 studies in favor of ivermectin,
but how many other studies say there is not good evidence...?

i am reminded of one medical conference, many years ago.
the presenting physician was vigorously advising on the use of a certain new drug...
a consultant countered, "doctor, had you read that article through, you would have found out that half of the patients died..."

Let’s say I am a doctor in San Lazaro hospital & I see covid patients flowing into an already overflowing hospital. Then patients are dying to the left & right of me & I’m helpless with the present drug arsenal at my disposal. Then I try ivm & suddenly, there’s hope. A magic bullet.
I’m trying to look at it from those doctors perspective. For doctors whose mandate is to heal & he cannot, that can be frustrating.
I heard that 5 hospitals have been given permits to use ivm & it should be interesting what change it actually does.

A doctor friend said, 98% of covid + patients really get well since the virus is self limiting in that 2 week period.

the five hospitals followed procedure, applied for its use, and were granted so.
so why do not the other concerned hospitals also apply for its use?

if we peruse our local statistics,
we will find out that majority of the afflicted do recover and get on with their lives.
it's just that the fatality rates and their adjacent stories are hogging the spotlight, few people remember that majority of the afflicted do recover and go back to their normal lives.

so if you belong in that 98% and you took ivermectin you'd think it's the ivermectin that saved you

A friend who recovered recently took Ling Hua, along with Azithromycin (massive dosing) & other meds. Felt relief the next day after taking these 2 drugs. So, what worked?
In managing viral diseases, treat a symptom at a time. He already had pneumonia, justifying use of Zithromax. Others are supportive.

    "time."
    heh heh.

    pa-galing na siya.
nagkataon lang na sinubukan niya yang ibang mga gamot na yan.

what probably does not reach the headlines is,
yung mga uminom nang iba-ibang combination ng gamot at hindi pa rin gumaling.

    if i have to guess,
the success stories are bannered in headlines all over the country.
the failures are buried in the dark.
if one has to make a legitimate study, one has to account for both bright headlines and dark stories.

    that is correct.
while medicine has a long listing of anti-bacterial antibiotics,
its list of proven antiviral medication is sparse.

Ito reasons kaya ayaw ng mga kakilala namin na doctors na magpabakuna until irequire sila thir persuasion hehe.

Yung side effects daw kasi sometimes later pa talaga magmanifest.

I feel the same, if it weren't for the surge hindi din ako papa vaccine. It's a vaccine that was developed in less than a year. Sana naman abutin ko pa old age with no side effects from the vaccine

There was also a recovered SC doctor who said high dose melatonin aided in his recovery.

why does he believe in it? because he recovered, and the guy in the next room who didn't melatonin didn't make it?
