    I have a couple of inaanak. If their parents knew that I don't have a religion and don't celebrate Christmas, would they still expect an aguinaldo?

    Hindi naman lahat ginagawang ninong for financial or material reasons. Yung iba, lawyer, doctor, engineer, etc. ^_^ Personally, I choose those who could act as 2nd parents worse comes to worst, and could give proper advice if needed regardless of the religion.

    That's true. My brother's Ninong (husband of my Dad's sister) took care of the bond for my brother's schooling. Hindi rin siya nagkukulang sa guidance and was always involved in my brother's life. He was a really good man, my Uncle.
