    What I learnt from my privileged friends in Uni - The Woke Salaryman:

    Had the same realizations after graduating from college. Coming from a public school, eye-opening ang different mindset and world that the rich live in.

    1/3 of 2020, 4 months na tayo quarantine. For me, it looks like I will be indoors for the rest of the year

    It'a not your fault if you were born poor. But if you die poor, then it'a your fault. - Bill Gates

    While i dont totally agree with his statement due to the various advantages of the rich, we poor people can also make it in life.

    We just have to work harder than the rich though.

    GCash to charge convenience fee for most fund transfers starting July 6

    Wow, 2.58% is a bit much. That's ₱500 na rin for a ₱20k transfer. Tapos may charge din yung panggagalingan bank.

    Gusto ko yung part about Poverty Mindset..

Ang Last part? Ang relization ko is, jan nag uumpisa ang lahat, you want your life to be comfortable then maging rich ka...

    pero if you fail mahirap ka pa rin and wishing yung next gen mo or anak mo would fulfill yung pagiging comfortable next time, kasi they know already how to be poor and once they become rich sila mostly sila yung generous, pero if mayaman na kayo dati either mata pobre ka or generous, depende na talaga sa pinanggalingan mo din yung up bringing...

    Bro, agree with the article except this part:

    You have to look at what the successful guys are doing to see what works. That's actually one of the benefits you could get from hanging out with enterprising rich guys.

    Personally I don't really care if I get side by side with or overtake someone with the advantage of generational wealth transfer. Main thing is for my family to be comfortable enough and more importantly, happy. We don't need a lot of wealth for that.

    Ako yung mahirap na mata pobre.. Hahahahahaha [emoji23] joke!
Like financial literacy / management at iba pang diskarte sa buhay..
    Kapag mayaman maaga na-eexpose sa kung paano pagulungin yung pera... and kung may plans man sila kaya i-back up ng family and connections..
May gulat factor.. Easy.. [emoji4]

    There's actually no concrete proof that Bill Gates said that.

    Especially since Bill Gates came from a relatively wealthy family. As you mentioned, the rich are born with so many advantages that it's easier for them to maintain their status than it is for a poor person to achieve the same.

    I agree bro, I also believe in the saying that you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. So spending more time with entrepreneurs really sharpens the entreprenurial thinking - something that I've lost as I've moved from petroleum to FMCG since I deal less with business owners now and talk more to other corporate folks.

    But I think the statement is there to remind us not to compare our progress with someone who was dealt with much better cards. The odds are really stacked against those who started with less in life, but progress is still progress and netting out positive vs where you started is already a win even if you don't match the progress of those who started off rich already.

    "If you compare yourself with others;

    You may become vain or bitter;

    For always ...

    There will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.... "

    So when you're on top of the hill, don't look around that much, for you will see higher mountains and they could make you sad... Just enjoy the sunrise and the sunset...

    Ako from my teens to the time I graduated college, mas interested ako sa arts but I couldn't pursue it kasi for one, I acknowledge that I'm not that good. But I can't afford to sit down and work on it kasi I gotta find a job so I won't be a burden to my parents. And privileged kids can afford that. They can hone their craft and not worry about jobs and they get better and exposed and become, I dunno, Moira Dela Torre or The Duplass Brothers (their parents gave them allowance so they don't have to look for work, they only have to write). So yes, privilege can afford you that learning. But looking back, I think poor kids like me learn outside the uni too, valuable useful life lessons because we have to work harder. Unlike him who got peer pressured na makisabay, I never got that. I was disiplined with money, something I must have picked up along the way. Just an example.

    Paano nila nagagawa yun e quarantine? I've only been out three or four times ata (to buy maintenance meds for the seniors) since March. Ako nga, I am so gigil with crush na! I wish to hug and kiss him LOL!

    21 is so young, pero ang maganda diyan, working age na siya and when she is 42, may college grad na siya. Mga friends ko, karamihan pre schoolers pa anak at that age
