I think I've made people really really mad at me these past few days.

Can't find anything that says towing - private to private cars is illegal...

the ac compressor bracket on my car broke off kasi, kaya I had no power steering/vacuum assisted brakes since the accessories belt can't be put on, opted to have my car towed by my uncle's truck/SUV with a tow bar and all.

Some dude told me what we were doing was illegal though, pero wala naman ako nakita na batas na nagsasabi nito?
Towing companies were charging me 6k kasi malaki daw kotse ko, eh malapit lang naman sa bahay kaya I borrowed my uncle's SUV nalang.

Ang alam ko lang bawal mag tow ng trailer na hindi registered diba?

We were not stopped in Nlex & Edsa, but upon exiting alabang, may mga naka abang na patrol na dun & said that bawal daw mag towing if hindi tow truck. So they asked for my license which was already expired, so they confiscated my plate number na lang hehe.

Maybe sa expressways lang bawal, & sa metro manila pwede naman?

I'm not sure if it's illegal. But I'm sure, without proper training or knowledge, delikado. Dame ko nakikita sa daan na lubid or tali lang pang hila. Either it can easily snap or kailangan marunong rin yung driver nung towed vehicle sa pag alalay. Remember, with the cars of today, pag patay makina, walang hydraulic breaks, walang power steering. Ideally steel bar.

But of course nasa Pinas tayo. Para paraan. And ang batas ay suggestion lang.

Sa slex bawal talaga. Authorized towing trucks lang ata. Which is an AAP tow truck. Kung di ka member, last I heard it's 5k per tow. To the nearest exit. IIRC.

We once had to tow this year using insurance (forgot the exact name, MAAP or MAP) from Nueva Ecija to Las Piñas. Free tow daw sa Metro Manila lang. We had to pay 5k. Not bad since we thought it would cost more than 20k.
