Hoping that resident WW2 buffs can set me straight: did the legendary Easy Company have engagements in the Pacific Theater?

According to Band of Brothers, Japan surrendered before the 101st Airborne was sent over. So.....no.

They were planning to redeploy to the Pacific if Japan continued on. It made sense. Japan still occupied large swaths of territories, especially in China.

Only after posting that i realized he was a Marine, not a Ranger. So same company name, different military branch?

I was assuming the popular Easy Company was the one in Band of Brothers. They were paratroopers of the 101st Airborne.

The other Easy Company I know of is the one led by Sgt. Rock (comics, fictional). That one is a company in the 141st Infantry. I just have to post my favorite issue because it was done by Russ Heath.
