i am thinking,
did cathy mention why she went into hibernation (again) ?
What's this "lansa" that i keep tasting and smelling when i eat pork dishes? The best way i can describe it is offal-y, parang goto ang amoy...pero wala naman halong lamang loob.
I got to find some time next week to have my laptops repaired. Macbook needs a new battery, HP Pavillion needs a new hardisk, and the other HP needs a new LCD screen. Had them for 5 long years. Laptops seem to last longer than desktops. My two desktops just died. I've removed the hardisks and I'm still waiting for the external SATA HD enclosure to arrive at my doorstep. Motherboards are cheap nowadays, so I'll have my desktops up and running in no time.
It doesn't get any better than this, then iinumin mo sa mismong sari sari store!

Some people I've talked to would say that it is better if you don't stop at your vices and will give examples that so and so, this and that, died after a few years when they stopped. However, this research says otherwise:
Alcohol Associated With Disease, Death And No Level is Safe, Says New Study
Now this particular guy who said to continue to your vices, he just died a couple of weeks ago.New research has shown clear correlations between alcohol consumption, even the lowest levels, and cancer, cardiovascular problems and death.
The wide-scale study covers 16 years of data collection and analysis, covering 1990 to 2016, in a total of 195 countries. Also, to collect the largest and most comprehensive population sample possible, the researchers also used subjects ranging from as young as 15 years old to up to mid to late 90s.
Dr. Emmanuela Gakidou, UW Health Metric Sciences Professor and a researcher who was part of the study, makes it clear that when it comes to alcohol and its effects on overall health, we are facing what is more or less a black and white issue: “The health risks associated with alcohol are massive," she said.
“Our findings are consistent with other recent research, which found clear and convincing correlations between drinking and premature death, cancer, and cardiovascular problems. Zero alcohol consumption minimizes the overall risk of health loss,” she added.
Details about the study appear in a paper, titled "Alcohol use and burden for 195 countries and territories, 1990–2016: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2016", which was published in the Lancet journal.
