no big deal.
many years ago, there was this controversy over an asian adult spraying his kids and their friends, with a garden hose, in their yard, somewhere in the continental usa. it was a hot summer day, i think. and everybody in there was obviously having fun, adult and kids alike. but for some reason, some folks dis-approved. "stop punishing the kids!", they said.
i was confused, because back home, us kids would have shouted, "more! more!".
then, there was this anecdote, allegedly from charlie chaplin's kid. they were walking in the city, and they saw these street kids, joyfully bathing about the spray of water from a fire hydrant that somebody had opened.
charlie said, "look at these poor kids! you will study, have a good job, so you don't have to be like them."

Last week I had lunch with my older friends (40s and 50s) and none of them used their phone over lunch
I'm wondering ako lang ba mahilig mag check ng phone talaga
