I'd like an RTX video card. But, at current prices which are 2.5x to 3x compared to last year? Forget it. I like ray-tracing in my games. But, I don't like it enough to pay that much. If the "fake" renderings look close enough to the real thing? I'm happy.
Take Far Cry 5. No ray-tracing. But, Ubi did a good job faking it.

Sarap kasi magsmoke e hahah! Sometimes I really miss smoking but I don't think my body could still tolerate it now, e I am always short of breath and have palpitations. Tapos ngayon iritang irita ako sa amoy ng smoke, pero back when I was a smoker I did not mind it so much
It worked on me. I stopped smoking around 2012 or 2013 and I did it with zero effort. I guess because I NEVER smoked at home, though at my peak I could finish half a pack and if I go out drinking maybe 1 pack? I absolutely cannot drink alcohol or coffee without cigarettes e.
Anyway, they made it so difficult to smoke - kasalanan ng Makati yan! Sila nauna magbawal ng smoking sa restaurants. One of my hangouts (alone) was UCC at the Fort kasi they had a separate smoking area with AC, usually ako lang mag isa :P Grabe talaga smoker discrimination. They exiled us smokers in the parking lot where it's dark and barely no circulation, tapos pati sa parking bawal na, sa open air bawal na rin. The final nail in the coffin was when they discontinued my brand Mild Seven and made it Mevius. My yosi buddies isa isa na rin nawala, either nag quit or di ko na masyado nakakasama. I am glad I lived during a time when smoking was allowed in campus and restuarants. ANg hindi ko naabutan yung smoking inside the OFFICE, HOSPITAL and PLANE OMG
What I can't quit? SUGAR! I am so addicted to sugar. Yung yosi kasi, just stop smoking and being around smokers, pero ang food you need it to LIVE kaya hindi mo naman pwede i cold turkey ang pagkain

March 25th, 2021 08:54 AM #2373Bro when in the beach or in a party yeah baka 1 pack a day .
What worked Best for me is just cold turkey. Dont tell yourself...puede 1 or 2 sticks a day. It doesnt work. Dapat zero.
First week was hardest. But after that...whenever i feel the urge to smoke, i just tell myself sayang the sacrifice i put in getting this far already...and it works.
I still think abt smoking every now and then. But its just a passing fancy now.

I was a heavy smoker until I quit around 2008. It was when my daughter was born and the doctor advised us of the serious effects of smoking to infants.
I started smoking back in my freshman days at UP Diliman (early 90s). I was consuming an average of a pack a day of Marlboro Reds and even more on days I just hang out or we were out drinking.
When I started working in Makati, I always buy myself two reams every other week. It was like 10 packs each week or an average of 1.5 packs per day. On a normal day, it was like I am half thru a pack before lunch time. On weekends, it was just lighting after each one. Within my small rental space, I had an ash tray near my bed, on the dinner table, and on the toilet.
When I had to stop, it was gradual so from a pack to just half for a period of a few months. Later on, it was just down a stick or two in certain times of the day. The hardest part was getting out the habit of putting something in your lips and lighting it.
Now, I smoke when someone offers me but I don’t go out buying anymore. Rarely do I find someone smoking Marlboro Reds nowadays but that got me thru hard times as a Young workaholic IT professional twenty years ago.

smoking was never attractive in the family.
"parang nagsusunog ng pera."
our older cousins smoked a bit. it was socially "in", back then.
after their generation, no one in the clan smokes anymore.

NO offense to smokers in their 40s and up. When I was in my teens and 20s my impression of NON-smokers my age e boring
Pag 30s, I have no opinion because it's an in between age. Pag 40s turn off na kasi para sakin rite of passage ang smoking, it's just something fun young people do and for me there's a disconnect dahil pag 40s nasa serious phase na ng buhay and no matter how fit and healthy, it's an age where you can't stop the clock anymore (eg metabolism and skin etc) It's like each cigarette is taking a minute off the person's life. When you're young kasi you can really abuse your body and not feel anything, but in your 40s may effect na yan.
I think generation ko ang last na it's cool to smoke. Those born in the 90s wala na ko kilalang smokers. Sa office namin sa buong department namin mostly 20s, almost 100 kami and NOBODY smokes. What a difference, when I was a new hire in the late 2000s (so majority kami ang 20s) nagkaka asaran at issue pa samin yung mga officemate namin na "buraot" hahaha! Yung mahilig maki bum ng yosi or manghiram ng lighter tapos hindi na ibabalik. Lucky for the young ones now, that is not an issue.
