    Last time I heard thru the grape vine, the company folded due to labor union problems. Transport of choice namin ng mga pinsan ko yun pag wala kami kotse, going to megamall.

    tsaka california buses di mahilig mag pick up ng pasahero. pag walang pumara diretso sila kahit may mga sasakay pa.

    tanong ko sa konduktora, bakit ganun.
    sagot nya....."fixed salary po kami. may sss, medicare. kahit konti or malaki ang daily take namin, ganun pa rin ang kita namin."

    mula noon yan na sinasakyan ko. bilis ng biyahe.

    Yes, IIRC mula Magallanes going to Megamall, wala pa 30 minutes. Sinasakyan namin yung mga galing MIA na CBL.

    I remember in our Highschool days, California Bus Lines yung naging school bus service. I loved those International brand school buses they used (these were acquired from schools at Subic Naval Base and Clark Air Base i think). Automatic transmission pa sila.

    Kung sino pa maayos magpatakbo ng bus company, sila pa yung nagka labor problems. Sucks eh... KMU kaya? :angry:

    another thing that I miss during the 80s and 90s is my body.
    used to be at 155 pounds, 5'8", 32 inch waistline.
    now its at 188 pounds, 36 inch waistline.

    one more thing...... wala pa akong gray hairs...... ngayon naglalabasan na.
    and i can ride a bike from alabang - makati and vice versa everyday.... gamit ko pagpasok.

    maganda yung california bus lines kasi yung bus nila yung mga gamit na school bus sa US... tama ang sukat hindi masikip.. automatic transmission pa yan kaya kahit wala aircon eh hindi pagod driver.. plus hindi gahaman sa pasahero takbo lang ng takbo
