i miss my waistline
i like nyo yung fb page na to: https://www.facebook.com/PinasDekada80?fref=ts
Tapos para mag beach, Punta Baluarte, Matabungkay and Puerto Azul.![]()
The partyline!
VHF(with portable line of sight) or CB(ground wave) radio na may phonepatch.... Madalas naming idine-"demo" iyan sa portable namin sa kotse....
Wow! I suddenly miss my DU1-IJA call sign.... mga tsikot na may VHF antenna..... ayos sa convoy sa biyahe at overtaking all the way!....
18.6K:grin2:
That is Simon and Garfunkel, bro.... (song is Mrs. Robinson in the 60s/70s yata..... )....... I still keep my copy of their Concert at the Central Park.... What a gathering with all those 'joints' and what have you....
Si George Harrison,- the most quiet Beatle.... Karibal siya ni Eric Clapton kay Patti Boyd(?)...... And George was the winner......

"PARTYLINE"
"Hello! Nandiyan ba si Lovely?... Ay, wrong number ba? Sorry ha... ANONG PANGALAN MO?![]()
I still go to Matabungkay and Puerto Azul. Puerto Azul beef bulalo tastes good! At one time, the house of the late Subas Herrero in Puerto Azul was being sold to us, but the resort is in dis-repair na. Hindi na namin binili. I also frequent Caylabne (former Marbella Marina) pero its bulok na din. Sayang na mga resorts.
I was diving at Anilao during the 80's lang (summers). About 4 times lang ata. Pero the place then was pristine!
i know sir. i'm just making a retort from the "were more popular than jesus" thing.
the simon and garfunkel song is also from one of my fave movie.... "the graduate".
because i like george much more than the other "quarrymen" members, i was suppose to name my daughter "haight-ashbury" in memory of the quiet-one. but my mom opposed cause it gives some negative sound and connotation daw?
i also like pete best
and the legendary stu sutcliffe.
have you seen "backbeat"?
and yung film ni steven spielberg na "i want to hold your hand" about some obsessed beatle freaks. funny!

My brother was into CB back in the 80s and I still know his callsign. That was how I learned the military alphabet. I could still remember their jargons:
Monggo and Bayo bayo (referring to the setup ata)
RK - Rich Kid
Q5 - guapo/maganda
EB - eyeball
I guess it was a nice avenue for teenagers in building their network in the 80s. What is ugly nga ba? Pero for a kid, pansin ko parang walang pangit masyado![]()
